Sorry my English was not very good in that last post.
I should have been asleep 4 hours ago, as Dgs2 was so tired he was in bed not long after 6pm.
dgs1 on the other hand was awake till nearly 9pm.
I think I put him back to bed around 5 times.
I am up late because I wanted to catch up with the final of the sewing Bee.
I already knew who had won as it was on tv last night but I didn't get to check until now.
I better get some sleep as I expect to be woken in the next 90 minutes or so.

It's good that Twin 2 is communicating with DgD and doing something with her - that is very positive! Hopefully DgD might even be confiding in her aunty - and if she is, is aunty preceptive enough to let you know if there is a problem that DgD hasn't told you about? It has been so hot overnight - at 5.30am this morning, I got up - let the dogs out - and found my twin1 in the sitting room with Dad asleep on the sofa! She had been playing around since 4.30am when a thunderstorm woke her and in order to let mum (and my twin2) sleep, Dad brought her into the sitting room, hopefully to go back to sleep -but no chance - she's "helped" me to feed Lily & Sam (the cats) and the dogs - then wanted to come into my bedroom to play bouncy bed! No chance .....I got up instead :-D

Yes my bed is the first port of call at 5am this morning. He did not want to go back to sleep.I have a customer bringing in a sewing machine that she is having trouble threading, so I have said that we will both have to wear a mask as it is highly unlikely that I can show her how to do it from 2m away. Although I will try.
I managed to sort out a jammed zip for someone with pliers, an unpicker and a lot of fiddling with threads that were jammed between the teeth and puller.Least I don't have to replace the zip.
I have Dgs2 today, so unless he sleeps I doubt that I will be doing much work anyway. Although I need to finish the few jobs that I have here. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4 -
Savvy, I hope you will be able to give your poor hand a rest soon! It's not difficult!

I am resting it!
its still too hot to do much anyway.
I sorted the sewing machine. Even though it wasn't a machine I knew. I just think over the years I have worked on so many machines what is obvious to me but I suppose it is about what you know. The machine needs a service and a new drive belt as it is just slipping. But I could at least show her how to thread it and got it sewing (ish)
I have cooked a tray of chicken drumsticks to have for lunch/evening with salad something easy.
DS apparently is still too poorly to come see his boys. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.3 -
The boys seem to settle better without Daddy - which is sad, but helpful to you!4

Yes, it is very sad that the boys are not getting to see their father. However, they do seem better with Savvy's consistency, rather than father upsetting their equilibrium - which is just as sad in the scheme of thingsIt's not difficult!

dgd has actually done some French homework. I am about to get her to attempt some maths.Twin2 surfaced, showered and then went back out to the campervan. So I am actually enjoying the peace.
I am watching the sky as I could do with mowing the lawn, but it is quite hot so I was looking for it too cool down a bit, but before the Thunderstorms arrive.
there is a bit of cloud cover coming so perhaps I will start. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4 -
Hope your afternoon continued peacefully - that is just what you need! xx5
