I believe although DGD loves her uncle the fact there wont be rows and arguments going on evetytime he messes around, falls asleep when on duty with the little ones etc will make for a calmer home and a less stressed granny for both her and the little ones.Hope you've got the camper well and truly locked up. Unless you feel you'll be able to afford to have the necessary work done to make it roadworthy and a suitable holiday home some time soon, you'd be better putting it up for sale and getting as much money as possible back. Otherwise it will be like rest of DSs projects costly and never finished.I hope you can get some decent sleep after such a trying day and dgs2 doesn't wake too early. It was good to read he loved being at the stable yard . I imagine it will take dgs1 a while to feel as comfortable there. No idea how involved the ex is but it sounds as though the other granny is making an effort with the boys.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

I am just going to sleep I hope. Dgs2 took an age to get settled ( because he and his Dad were asleep too late into the afternoon! ).

Not a bad night. Slow day, pottered, bit of housework, but of sorting out random bags and boxes lurking in my bedroom.
seperated sewing related things, jewellery, makeup/hair stuff and through out random rubbish. I am embarrassed to say that I had bags of things I put to sort ages ago. The contents of old drawers, and broken boxes that I through out ages ago and never took the time to sort it out.
so a job well done. Sewing stuff taken out to the cabin.
jewellery in a bag, some is brand new as in still with packaging etc from when I had the clothes and accessories in the early days of the shop.
I think I will sort further and decide what I want to keep and would use and then offer the rest of it on Facebook for free. Maybe a jewellery maker could use the beads etc or someone might just want to sort and sell on maybe. The makeup and hair things mostly went in the bin as out of date, too old fashioned i or too girly for DgD.DS has text to ask if boys went down ok last night, and again this morning telling me what he doing tomorrow. I very nearly text back I didn't care. But thought better of it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -
No need to feel embarrassed about the sruff you never got round to sorting in the past. It''s not as though you've had unlimited time over the past few years. As you continue you'll be clearing both physical space in the home and mental space too.Whether ds got in touch off his own bat or the gf prompted him to contact you.it's best to do as you did and remain neutral. No point being angry, unconcerned etc. You've said your piece told him to go and it's up to him now to sort things himself.Re the chenille blanket you mentioned . It's too late now but years ago I had very large chenille throws, They were to protect both sofa and armchairs when the children were younger. I noticed they were shedding as soon as I started using them. When they needed washiing I put them in the dryer first on cool. It meant stains etc weren't set in with heat but the filter grabbed all loose fluff and when I put them in the wash there wasn't a problem.pollyx.It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

A new day.
I will not be sewing this morning as I will have Dgs2 While Dgs1 is in school. He is only in school until lunchtime, while he has the 1-1 teacher. He is finding the changes a little challenging. He has been very challenging himself, here at home and this morning he has said that his daddy has gone to live with his GF. So he has noticed that his dad is not here or in the van. we had quite a few challenging behaviour episodes yesterday and he is already bouncing off the walls this morning.
Dgs2 took until nearly 10 to settle last night, but then he did sleep until 5.20, but luckily he also found his milk and went back to sleep until just before 7am.
I have had my cup of tea from the teasmade this morning, and I am ready to face the day.
dgd has been down stairs most of the day, although still on FaceTime with one or other of her friends and popping outside to "dance in the rain". Compared to being in her room all day I will take that.
Time to do breakfast and make the packup for Dgs1 as I missed the order deadline for the free school meals this week. Mind you the choice is the same, ham cheese or tuna sandwiches so I don't think he will be that upset!

I'm sorry that GS's behaviour has been challenging. I guess it is not surprising, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with!
I rarely make use of the 'ignore' function on websites but think I might make an exception for one poster . . .It's not difficult!

Well school was cut short, as they called to ask me to take Dgs1 home as he was disruptive and throwing chairs etc.
so back to school to collect him. It's the first time he has been sent home for his behaviour, not good.
