We have had two days where Dgs1 has managed to stay in school, and he came home with a star for good behaviour today. Pity he and his brother were at loggerheads from 5.45 this morning until 8.30!
Daddy turned up to help yesterday, and I managed to work until 6.15. He left again at 7 when the boys were in bed.
I managed to finish all the orders for masks at last yesterday, and then had 14 more to make today, followed by turning a pair of trousers into long shorts. Shortening some complicated sleeves on a blouse, but yesterday I managed the masks, two collarS turned On rugby shirts, an extra strange job replacing fabric in a torn pillowslip, hemming a dress, and making 3 memory cushions, and to top the day off I made a dress and a pair of shorts. Considering I was on the verge of tears when Biggest arrived I managed to turn my self and my day around.
I have had an enquiry for 55 masks, just waiting for confirmation on the order. Fingers crossed as that would pay my wages for the week.
Dgd has done some school work, but it is like pulling teeth.
twin2 was going to come to see me tomorrow but it is going to be Monday now.Time for bed. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.3 -

That is some going!
I faffed around all day and managed to make two masks,
look after one child, several demanding animals and do a yoga class. That was quite enough for me.Norn Iron Club member 4735 -
I remember in the dim, distant past, when I used to do a bit of sewing - it would take me at least a few days to make a dress. The thought of getting through all that in one day is both mind boggling and exhausting! It's not difficult!

Okay
"Prepares to be unpopular"
While I recognise that you take precautions ss I do find it, somewhat, galling that it seems to be okay for your son to flit in and out of your household while quite a lot of the rest of us have been sticking pretty rigidly to the social distancing 'rules"
I am so happy that, as someone who lives by themselves, I can now attach myself to my partners household. It would have been good to be able to do that earlier.11 -

It would have been good to be able to do that earlier.I totally understand where you are coming from. But it wasn't done lightly and to be honest I needed the support to be able to earn a living.Luckily with the relaxing of the rules, and the fact he doesn't live in my house it is going to be less of an issue. We are also fortunate that where we live there hasn't been any confirmed cases of Covid19. I think if we were in a denser populated area or there had been cases that decision would probably have been different.

I do totally understand your situation. It's just that others with similar difficulties have had to cope. My partner's son has a disabled wife and four young children (one autistic, one being tested). He struggles to cope, sometimes, and my partner provides regular support for him. She's been desperate to get over to see him but hasn't been able to because of the lockdown. She did manage to finally visit and see them in their garden after the recent relaxation which was a huge relief for her. Not sure I envy her - the kids are rather a challenge!6 -
Eek!
on Monday I went through what I thought were all the messages that I had received over the weekend on my Facebook page and dealt with the orders on Tuesday. Or so I thought.Today suddenly over half a dozen messages have suddenly become visible again, that means I have missed the orders in my book.
so now when I was going to have a housework day, I am going to have to get outside into the workshop and sort out masks. Fingers crossed that I can fulfill the orders today, as that will fulfill my 7 days quote.I am going to have to be careful with Facebook then. It can't be relied on to show up all the messages even when I have marked them follow up!!The boys have been less challenging as the week wore on, but I was so tired yesterday that while DS was here I had to go to sleep. I will be so glad when they start to sleep all night and not wake up with the birds!
DS is obviously very quiet and sheepish since last weekend when I told him to go.I am trying to find the right work home balance, but I am not succeeding.

I think that I have caught up. There are a couple of enquires that I have chased. But it has been a very busy day catching up. Thankfully I did have a few already made that could be assigned to some of the orders.
