i'm not!
hence the smileys!
According to Netflights, my flight is still going ahead to San Fran with Virgin, although Virgin cancelled the flight, the return trip which is from LAX is still showing in my virgin flying club account! (and showing a normal flight on netflights)....
Guess i gotta wait until a week before the flight for netflights to cancel ? assuming thats how it works.........

I understand now.
Virgin wasn't great cancelling our flights in April/May either. The first leg to NY was cancelled a week before, NY to LAS wasn't cancelled for us until a couple of days before. I believe that flight still went ahead because it was a codeshare with Delta. Flight in May wasn't cancelled until a few days before either. It took 136 days to get my money back even though they kept insisting they had paid it back already.0 -
136 days !!! crikey, do u not have the option to start the section 75 process after 28 days ?? (like any consumer transaction) ?

hi all,
Did any of u have flights booked to the US this year since April ?
I'm in a pickle due to lack of info....
I booked my US flights with Netflights.com , flying with Virgin (LHR-SFO // LAX-LHR)
Due to fly next friday, yet not had any communication to say the outbound flight is cancelled (irrelivant that we cant get into the US).....
When i log into my Flying club account, the flight used to show, but now it just shows the return leg (which is pretty pointless!)...
My thing is, as i not heard any info from Netflights (who claim to be just a ticket agent, and all correspondance should be with Virgin, although virgin state to deal with netflights! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ) or Virgin, so i am technically none the wiser as to whats happening...
Customer services for Virgin & netflights = 1 person manning the phone, so am out of luck there!
Whether it be a refund, or parking the flights with Virgin (not netflights), i would happily defer the flight until early april or september next year... Issue i got is, cant get hold of anyone to know whats going on!Netflights responded to a facebook message asking me to fill out a cancellation form, as they confirm the flight is cancelled (in a facebook message), but the form to complete looks like "i am cancelling" which makes me think no refund, as its me cancelling, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !!!!0 -
We were due to fly to LA start of October Stuie.
We received an email in June from Virgin confirming the cancellation.
Was offered the option to keep ticket open, but requested refund there and then.
Heard nothing from them since. But as soon as enough time has passed the flight date, I will use section 75 to reclaim money.
Our March Vegas flights took over 100 days before we were refunded...not waiting that long again.
Also going to need to make insurance claim for LA hotel, booked through Expedia but on non refundable basis.1 -
Stuie,
Have you tried the Virgin Atlantic Whatsapp number? I got a response through that within a couple of days back in May though the refund took a lot longer to come back (Last week!). It's 0344 874 7747.
Hope that helps,1 -
We were due to fly to NYC in early July with Virgin, booked through Ebookers. I never had any proactive message from either party that the flights had been cancelled, I had to contact Ebookers to ask for the status of flights. In early June, Ebookers told me that the flights had already been cancelled by Virgin in May. I asked for a refund from Ebookers and am still waiting for it.0

I have always found ebookers very good. We had nonrefundable hotels booked with them, and we received our money back back very quickly due to the coronavirus.
But I suspect they will have to receive the money back from Virgin first?
Which by all accounts isn't easy !0 -
cheers guys
Scenario same as.... Because ticket booked through netflights, just a case of cancelling it and waiting for the refund which..
I was hoping virgin would park the flight (we paid £375 for that flight!) , but as it was a netflights ticket, we had to go through them...
They say refund or convert to credit note....
Like you Brats, i will wait so long before doing the section 75 , as according to law, were supposed to get a refund in 7 days ?? (i dont mind waiting 2 months)... Netflights say they gotta wait upto 4 months for a refund from Virgin....
My credit card is the Virgin atlantic card too !
