We are due to go late November but I have doubts that it will happen. The situation in the States doesn't look to be improving any time soon.Pedrobandito said:Im due to fly out mid September with BA but Im not sure I want to yet, would rather wait and see how things work out but at the moment according the BA website you can only change flights up to the 31st August, has anyone tried to contact them and see if they are able to change?0 -

Sounds like many places in Vegas are closing down again for a while after 4 July weekend.
Most of America has really ****ed this up haven't they?!0 -
Well decision has been made and we have just cancelled (I think) our Vegas trip for November.
Filled in the form to cancel on Virgin site (loss of deposit only) but at the moment its still showing as not cancelled on Virgin manage my booking page. Final balance not due until 15th August so not panicking yet.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -

America is in a different league to the UK... Things could have been done better here of course (as everywhere) but USA is a disaster. Our new case rate has fallen away quite successfully, USA is still rising and very quickly... Though some (arguably cosmopolitan and Democratic) states are managing better, like New York, Mass...photome said:

Quite a lot of comments and rumours on Twitter... guests speaking to hotel staff saying thing will close down for at least 7-10 days after this weekend, particularly the Venetian. A number of pools are closing with immediate effect. Gov Sisolak has reported that half of monitored businesses aren't adhering to face covering guidelines too.
Either they opened too early, or people are just being idiots and disrespecting guidelines (which seems to be the issue more widely in the USA).0 -
from what I have read the UK seems to be at the top of the carts for excess death rates and the mishandling of the crisis, The US may overtake us, but on any level, this Gvt has !!!!!! up. Many countries handled it better, particularly island nations where lockdowns were introduced early, if we had done the same we wouldnt be in this mess.
Agree that they seem to be behaving like idiots over there, but then again we have had mass protests and packed beaches.
just seen reports about possible closures after this weekend, general consensus is that its fake news, only time will tell tho1 -
Caesars Entertainment finally taken over by Eldorado. Branding will remain, but not clear of the impact to consumers yet.Talk of possibly two Caesars properties in Vegas being sold in the next 12 months:

I like the look of the smoke free casino at Park MGM.
A lot of people saying it won’t be smoke free for long, but I hope it’s the start of a change in the way casinos view the smoking/non-smoking ratio.
I think smoking will always be in the casino, but at the moment the smoke free zones inside are pathetic.
I look forward to not only being able to go back to Vegas, but hopefully not having to move from my machine because a smoker decides to sit next to me.1 -
