I had some bad news about a young close relative who is very ill. I can’t say more on a public forum but it is heartbreaking and now I feel out of sorts. Trying to keep it as ‘normal’ as I can but struggling to sleep.
In other news I had the appointment at the bathroom showroom. It went well. I have identified a bath. I now need to find a sink, shower, side screen glass door, hand basin and all the connecting bits and pieces. This feels doable if the quotes come in at a sensible price.
I cycled today and getting there was enjoyable. Getting back was tiring but hey ho.
My beetroot is doing well and my neighbour left a potted up pepper and a tomato plant as the last tomato plant he gave me got black fly!
Tomorrow the carpenter comes to quote for shelves
Because I sent back the clothes that weren't entirely fabulous I ordered a dress that has potential instead. It was £170 but is now £65. Very MSE surely? I had to order 2 sizes to be sure of fit. Fingers crossed.
Hope you are all okay out there.

I'm sorry to hear about your young relative. It's absolutely understandable that the news has put you into a spin. Hopefully a little time will help you to process the news at least. Is there someone in real life you can talk to about it? Otherwise, my PM inbox is always open if you want to share.
Lovely of your neighbour to add to your veg growing collectionI hope this tomato plant survives the black fly!
Glad you're making progress with the bathroom. We purchased our bathroom suite and all the trimmings from an online bathroom store (although we ran the purchases past out plumber first to make sure we weren't making any oversights and that there was nothing missing). We purchased wall boards online too.

is it very bad to admit that our en suite bath of the future has been in the junk room for at least ten years? It was something stupid like £35 delivered.

So sorry to read about your relative DIA.
I hope the dress is completely fabulous and earns its place in your wardrobe
I'd love a new bathroom, it really needs updating, as does the kitchen. I also need shelves! Fingers crossed the carpenter was able to provide a good quote.

Wow DIA lots to catch up on. The whole of May!!! Well done.
Sorry to hear about your relative. Sending you a virtual hug.
You have been busy and productive. Like the eating a frog bite by bite. I usually quote the eating an elephant bite by bite!
Funny about the bath redofromstart. I can beat that. My sister used to live in a lodge house and had a lovely cast iron bath. She offered it to us and we jumped it. Was in our garden for years and then we had the money to get it refurbished. It is now in our spare room waiting to be fitted. Trouble is the floor needs to be strengthened first and the plumber had a hip operation last year so we couldn't do it. My sister has moved twice since then too. Hate to think how many years we've had it. Oh well these things take time. Hmm.
Still working a rota and have been told it's until the end of July. Feel like a telephone operator as no visits yet. Oh well at least I am working through my waiting list.
Congratulations on the Zoom action. Am lucky that in my other job we are conducting group sessions via Zoom so am getting to grips with it. Like you DIA I am a bit adverse to technology, but once I do it and research closely I am there. Good news on the pension and WTC front. Have just looked at my accounts today as interest rates are going down and I need to review. Feeling resistance to doing this initially, but think I can move on now. Luckily we have MSE to give us the lowdown on it all.
Anyway just checking in to see how everyone is getting on. Starting work at 12 today. Got a yoga session at 10 on Facebook with an instructor who usually teaches at my gym. Have known him for years and he has kindly offered 4 sessions a week of yoga and pilates for free. Tried to pay him,but he won't hear of it. Like to do them live if I can,but catch up later if I am working. Keeps me sane.
Take care everyone we are all hanging in there.
Have a good day
