agreed - good luck with the car. my advice - sell it without trying to bargain the price too hard and then cry all the way to the bank.. it will only deteriorate without use and costs will accrue in use of not. Have had a couple like that in last few years.
i did find ebay quite good to sell cars on, as there is a whole industry of people wanting them for doer ups / parts. especially ones short of a MoT ...I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Hope everything works out for you on the car front DIA 🚗
You're still showing a lot of drive and determination in reaching your goals .Bizarrely enough, I only have a handful of coffee table books left after having many clearouts over the years . Thankfully , you only have to do a bit of dusting and rearranging by the sound of it .Hope the week is good.

I’m reading AC’s first diary after a comment AC made giving parallels in our situations. Lots of good advice on there and inspiration to be had. I think it will help as I'm basically where he was. Lots of pages! It is like reading a book.
Yesterday I had a trip to the PO. Still long queues outside.
A mini supermarket stop for chocolate (I know…) Also bought crisps on offer 2 for £2 but one bag into the FB.
Clothes washed and out drying
Soup made and a bean salad
Dishes done
Plants watered
The new dress is indeed fabulous so kept it and chose a less fabulous dress to go in the CS bag.
Today is a work day, determined to get a good chunk of work in.
Not had the quotes in yet, will give it until the end of the week.
Tomorrow will be froggy feast day so will action the car then.
Still haven’t opened the savings account. I guess that’s for the froggy feast day too.
Need to get on with the work now so will check other diary this evening.
Have a good day all

Thanks for reading my diary DIA 😼
One of the quotes I think from reading Tim " it's like a novel " 😹 . It's just that the last few weeks of this diary sounded like what I was going through at the time .in parts . Having said that as you can see, I was all over the place . The good thing about your situation here , is that you are far from what I was and you are doing so well. I'll leave it there ..
Everything else sounds good 😼5 -
The sort of plod-plod-plod day where even things that should not be frogs felt like frogs: washing the bath, going for a walk, watering the plants, dishes…for example.
I’m not getting enough exercise. My weight loss has stalled!
I cycle most days but not every day. Going to supplement with a daily walk. Setting my alarm and aiming to walk no later than 7.
Decluttered a pair of jeans bought from a CS back to the CS.
FROG
Tried several leads re car and they came to nothing. Another lead to chase tomorrow.
FROG
Tried opening the brilliant government Help to Save account. Codes, passwords fair enough, but the level of red tape and verification is silly so leaving it. Maybe I’ll stick to PBs…
FROG
Chased quote for shelves and decorating. Got a reply that he can’t quote for the job as he has work booked for the next 3 months. Rude not to have contacted me to say so. Back to the drawing board
Some days I feel I am getting nowhere. Onwards and upwards and all that.
Hope your day was a good one

You're still on track with everything DIA 😼
I'd say the cloudy skies can lower the spirits at times . The weight issues don't seem to be a problem from what I can see . You eat the perfect food , you're cycling , walking and doing all the house tenovations etc . I'd say just carry on the way you're going and you'll see the difference eventually .Before I met james , I spoke to a really nice bloke on the phone who was local but so so busy for about 3 months . The sound of a good tradesperson . Shame your potential person never let you know . Still, you'll find someone soon .
I'll leave it there ...6
