Midlife Musings and Measurable Goals

I was a bit flat yesterday so I made sure I got exercise and fresh air today.
A long cycle but no walk. When it was time to come back I was too tired so jumped on my first train since early March. It was easy to socially distance as the train was nearly empty. In the past I would have stopped to have a coffee to regain energy then cycled back.
I bought an indoor plant: aubergine and pink leaves. Very pretty and only £2.
I can’t believe another week is almost over.

Sometimes it's better the devil you know when it comes to tradespeople. What's worse? Having to eat many frogs to try to find the right fit (and potentially being let down many times and having to wait longer). Or dealing with some short-term frustration but knowing that you'll get the job done in good time and correctly? Hope that makes the pill a little easier to swallow...Sealed Pot Challenge 075

It is starting to feel like my life consists of eating frogs which my brain interprets as ‘doing things I don’t want to do.’ It is making me feel a bit sorry for myself and that is not empowering. Words are important and affect my thoughts, motivation and behaviour so I am making a change.
The frogs, seen positively, are actually steps I am choosing to take to improve my life, environment and take me closer to my bigger goals.
For example, getting rid of the car isn’t a frog it is a step towards improving my life by decluttering my driveway and simplifying my life!
Have a good day everyone. Off to crack on with taking steps to decluttering my driveway and simplifying my life

I really like your thinking here DIA - turning a negative into a positive is not easy but I can see how changing the way you see these things may make a difference. I might try and do this myself! Thanks for the tipSealed Pot Challenge 075

Everything is still going to plan DIA , so don't start analysing too much . Only imho of course 😼
It's funny really . Don't know where I've been most of my life but I never understood the frog thing that everyone was talking about until I saw your last diary 🐸 . Having said that , When I do things that are important most sayings seem to disappear as I just take the bull by the horns and get on with what's in front of me hoping to plough through.
opps another saying right there 🐂
I had a look at my first diary yesterday , and tbh I don't blame you if you gave up after a few pages as it is heavy going . You have patience of a saint ⛪️Anyway , I'll leave it there .Have a good weekend 🌦🌥6 -
