I'm sorry to hear about your young relative. It's absolutely understandable that the news has put you into a spin. Hopefully a little time will help you to process the news at least. Is there someone in real life you can talk to about it? Otherwise, my PM inbox is always open if you want to share.
Lovely of your neighbour to add to your veg growing collectionI hope this tomato plant survives the black fly!
Glad you're making progress with the bathroom. We purchased our bathroom suite and all the trimmings from an online bathroom store (although we ran the purchases past out plumber first to make sure we weren't making any oversights and that there was nothing missing). We purchased wall boards online too.
I'm going to use the discount store as there is good service and I have a named person to bother with my endless stream of questions. I forgot about wall boards! If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Sorry to hear your news, never easy.Mrs_Boo_Boo said:Wow DIA lots to catch up on. The whole of May!!! Well done.
Sorry to hear about your relative. Sending you a virtual hug.
You have been busy and productive. Like the eating a frog bite by bite. I usually quote the eating an elephant bite by bite!
Funny about the bath redofromstart. I can beat that. My sister used to live in a lodge house and had a lovely cast iron bath. She offered it to us and we jumped it. Was in our garden for years and then we had the money to get it refurbished. It is now in our spare room waiting to be fitted. Trouble is the floor needs to be strengthened first and the plumber had a hip operation last year so we couldn't do it. My sister has moved twice since then too. Hate to think how many years we've had it. Oh well these things take time. Hmm.
Still working a rota and have been told it's until the end of July. Feel like a telephone operator as no visits yet. Oh well at least I am working through my waiting list.
Congratulations on the Zoom action. Am lucky that in my other job we are conducting group sessions via Zoom so am getting to grips with it. Like you DIA I am a bit adverse to technology, but once I do it and research closely I am there. Good news on the pension and WTC front. Have just looked at my accounts today as interest rates are going down and I need to review. Feeling resistance to doing this initially, but think I can move on now. Luckily we have MSE to give us the lowdown on it all.
Anyway just checking in to see how everyone is getting on. Starting work at 12 today. Got a yoga session at 10 on Facebook with an instructor who usually teaches at my gym. Have known him for years and he has kindly offered 4 sessions a week of yoga and pilates for free. Tried to pay him,but he won't hear of it. Like to do them live if I can,but catch up later if I am working. Keeps me sane.
Take care everyone we are all hanging in there.
Have a good day
xxx
You both have funny bath storage stories. I'll bear them in mind and try not to repeat either...
Mrs Boo Boo, I'm glad you still have work for now.
I do a bit of Adrienne yoga online...
All sounding good with you, take careanother_casualty said:
Still lots going on in a short time DIA 😼
Sorry to hear about your relative also . Parts of this diary has similarities to my first one.
That was before I even knew I was doing diaries here if that makes sense.Great news though about the bathroom fitter . Everything else is going really well , but just keep proceeding the way you have been and your targets will be reached .
Hope you and everyone enjoy the weekend 🌴☔️💦If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Well done!I liked your 'Fabulous' comment too - unfortunately at my current weight I have to buy what I can that fits - one day I'll be able to buy what looks fabulous as well!
I'm no sylph, but fabulousness is for us all.
I do seem to go on a frog eating feast and follow up with a fast...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I’ve spent a few days adjusting to my bad news. What I am sure of is it won’t help her if I start to unravel. So going to try and put the negative feelings aside for now (when I can) and get on with life.
The whole ground level floors have been steam cleaned with a natural disinfectant. So dirty!!!
A letter from WTC and all seems sorted at last! I will receive less than UC but there is no requirement on me until 2021 and that suits me better.
The man came to quote for the shelves and the hallway. He seemed nice. If the quote is reasonable I will go with it
When I was decluttering my living room I sat in a different chair. From there I could see the boxes of books under the dining table! It will be good to get all my books on shelves.
I’ve made lots of healthy food to make the best of the veg box. It’s much easier to eat healthily with the boxes so I plan to keep them.
The savings account online still needs setting up. Not done as it is done through Gateway and it is a pain. Will try again this evening.
The big frog for next week is getting rid of the car. I have the numbers just need to make those calls.
Wishing you all a relaxing evening

It doesn't feel OK to keep going with my plans and life, it feels essential for my mental health. I need to keep busy. I don't do well with too much time for thinking when things are bad...

I hope you manage to sort your car frog, make those calls!
Keeping busy is good, I agree. I had a couple of days annual leave right at the start of lockdown and all I did was sit and fret, and cry, I was so anxious. As soon as I went back to work, I was distracted and so much better for it. You do what you need to.
Have a great week
