OH worked from home today, which saved us lots of fuel, he worked 9 am - 6 pm, so we haven't seen much of him, he did have his lunch break with us which was lovely.

Well this week has been a DFW bust. Put almost everything on credit card because of big shortfall in wages this month. 500 quid down! And this Having My Card situation (it has been out of use for 2 months) has led me to buy books, a purse on sale, various eats out, things for my DD etc etc etc. I had to make myself put the food shop on my bank card!
It goes away today and I will be robbing the joint accpunt to make sure all my debt repayments get covered for January. Not a good start to the year or my DFW journey.
But I have:
-checked fridge before food shopping and planned to use things up
-ordered book from library, 75p instead of 6 quid to buy it
-made sure I bought things for work pack lunches next week
-forgot cans! Will get some, otherwise I will buy individual ones from the shop at lunch at three times the price
-been using up Xmas food and drink :-)
-resisted many many sale items. The purse and a jumpsuit were the only things
-written down my spends
-updated my Money Dashboard app. Still not sure if it's useful. My spreadsheet seems better!
January will be tougher than usual because of the sick pay thing.
But now it's proven. Just having that credit card back in my wallet sends me crazy. Like it's free money. That stops now.PEAK Dec 2019: £24,273 -- NOW Virgin £2377 Markses £681 Halifax £6143 Loan £6696 Family loan £5819 TOTAL: £21,706 -- Paid off: £2308. Target: Jan 2023 LBM: monthly pay but weekly spend dohDecember 2020 target = £18212 and nothing added to CCs AND by paying an extra 20 a month on something I just knocked 8 months off my target date :-)

Evening all,
Well another day at home it was! Spent the day chilling with dh. Ate what we had in (did chicken/mayo wraps for lunch and made a chicken & mushroom risotto for tonight)
Watched dvds and listened to cds from our stash.
Day 2 without a spendTomorrow we are eating out as its my mums birthday meal, so I know that will be a spend plus we need milk at the least.
Take care all,Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hi Everyone
Today has been a day when I feel I've achieved something (also means I can relax and enjoy this comp win - two nights hotel, breakfast, 3 course meal, wine, afternoon tea):

Sorted Christmas Cards into recycling or crafting
Deep cleaned lounge and re-instated everything to its rightful place

Read Library Book (maybe later)
Catch you all sometime over the weekend.
