Morning (just!) folks
Thanks to Purps for starting us off
I'm in work but the weather is lovely here (typical!)
I've got quite a bit I'd like to do today... but we'll see as I'm pretty tired by the time I get home.
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores - done
:heartpuls Charge phone in work - done
:heartpuls Check PMP - done
:heartpuls Walk to bank at lunchtime to cash cheque - wish I blimmin hadn't. Cheque was in both our names and we don't have a joint account. They wouldn't pay it in so I asked could they bin it (confidential waste etc...). She said she couldn't bin it because it was worth £10?! So I replied that if I couldnt cash it, that it wasn't worth anything, but it was ok, I'd bin it. The OH decided that I was causing a scene and marched me out by my elbow which was more awkward than anything I'd said. I'm not pleased.
:heartpuls Reconcile budget sheet for end of month - done
:heartpuls OH to do the housework - done
:heartpuls Triage the fridge and put pots/pans to go back to mil's out for OH to take. Can't claim no food waste here but I'm doing my best. - done
Have a good one all

Unfortunately, that's banking law.Do you have a Ramsden's in your local shopping centre? Their website says if you both rock up there with ID they can cash it for you. But it has to be dated in the last 2 weeks. There will be a fee. Other High Street lenders may offer the same service.

Ah cheers Ally but I binned it. I'm not too worried and it was only a tenner. I was more cross with OH for making me look like I was being a blimmin child and marching me out of there.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Sorry you've had a bad time. Maybe you should also temporarily place beloved, usually epic, OH in the bin?Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Afternoon all,
Thanks PF for this weeks thread.
Today we havebeen to alddee and icyland with our list - alddee had the bags of chickens with 30 percent off, I had planned on buying two but bought 4 and we've cooked them all, pulled them apart, put carcasses in the large sc to make stock and will freeze much of the chicken in boxes ready to pull out as and when.
Also bought 2 packs of diced beef that was also 30 percent off. I was glad I'd checked the freezer for space before we went!
Run the washing machine on the quick 30 degree wash x 2 loads
Finished off the last of the hm leek and potato soup for lunch with some part baked bageuttes.
I'd soaked split peas yesterday and have today made peas & bacon in the slow cooker - the house smells lovely today
Cut up the xmas cards, any without glittter/foil into the recycling and the rest cut into gift tags for next year. (my gift wrap pile has been refilled as my parents/sis etc are so used to me keeping the "good" paper that I didn't even ask for it this time but they've sent me there paper over
Made a note on the new calendar for next November to remind me not to buy cards etc as I still have enough for at least a couple of years
Kids have decided to sell their games consoles as they both play via their pc's now rather then consoles. Checked prices at cex and kids are happy with that so have printed off the posting labels and just need to find three suitable size boxes now.
One of my xmas decorations lights have stopped working, I've tried replacing bulbs and the fuse but still not working, so I've taken the lights off and will just use the snowman for decoration next year without the lights.
Checked banking, updated spreadsheet and transferred boys their pocket money for December
Right I think thats about it for us. Take care all, I'm off to box up this chicken!Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
