Afternoon all
Happy New Year
I need to lose weight too, about 25 lbs would be ideal for me. OH and I have decided to try to do this together (he needs to lose a lot more than me, but 25 lbs would give him a start). Tricky at the moment with Christmas food still around, but we are being more mindful about what we eat.
Lazy start to the day - not sure why as we didn't stay up late, and had only 1 drink each
Anyway, I have:
Folded dry washing from airer and put in the airing cupboard, folded up the airer and put it away as I am up to date with the laundry at last :T
Put up new calendar / planner
Bit of tidying, put xmas decorations back in eaves cupboard
Cleaned bathroom thoroughly
This afternoon I want to finish pruning the climbing rose. I have done the big bit (cutting out some tough old stems) now the cutting back of sideshoots to do.
Lunch is crackers and cheese (and the end of the Dundee cake)
Dinner will be cold meat, jacket potato and salad, followed by the last of the Christmas pudding - just a spoonful each left :T
The shopping list now has 4 items on it - but I am still not going
I need to check the banks (not Barclays, Lloyds or Halifax, thankfully - apparently their online systems are down)
And find my shiny new diary out of the cupboard0 -

* all meals from stores Lunch was the last of the pizza for the kids, dh and I finished the pate with some crackers followed by the end of the date cake
* sort through wardrobes and straighten up all straight again
* drink more water
* eat better (really must get back to eating for health!)
* write a new freezer inventory as my pre xmas one is well out of date
* general tidy and declutter as I go! made a good start
Take care all.
We've taken down the xmas decorations and put in the garage for now (my parents store their decs at ours so will put in the loft when they've brought theirs)
Hoovered everywhere
Found a really old phone to sell, best price £7 on music magpie, I was expecting nothing for it as its that old! Have packaged it up in reclaimed padded envelope and will take to the post office tomorrow.
Found some more books that we don't want, checked to see if worth selling but didn't hit the minimum basket so will send to the charity shop instead.
As dh was in the mood to help, I got him to go through some papers/industry magazines that he always says to keep when I ask and he's now got rid of most of them
TIme now to watch the film John Wick with dh now and cwtch up under a fleece or two!
Not going to get properly back into routine til dh & kids are back to school/work next Monday so I'm planning on doing bits and pieces between now and then and get proper food shops done and start afresh

Evening everyone!
A happy new year to you all. I'm very happy to know you guys. In fact, some of us have known each other for nearly 10 years now! Without sounding too soppy, You've been good friends to me over the years
I'm really glad that I was with mil. She was very upset but I managed to provide several distractions, including giving the Christmas tree a Jacuzzi bath. This morning OH and I took down all her Christmas decs and returned them to the loft.
We were planning to go the allotment this afternoon but OH had only had about 5 hours sleep and zonked out as soon as we got home. I took the opportunity to do a bit of tidying away, then start my 2020 scrapbook/diary/project book that I have decided to do. I've decorated the cover and it looks very nice.
We're having a lazy evening in with a (tsk tsk) Dominos, then up at 6.30am to drive to mum's. I have resolved to go with a peaceful mind and try to be above it.
I'll try to check in while I'm there.
Love you all lots and wishing us all health, happiness and lottery wins in 2020

Hi Everyone
Wow, its been cold today, after a visit to the cemetary (to place flowers for DH's mum and dad), we planned to go for a walk but DS didn't feel up to it (he has another shocking cold) so we visited mum (who is also under the weather again) and then home to take it easy and watch TV. Other than that we managed:
Checked Bank & made PAD
Swagbucks
Purge a few emails
Entered a few comps
Home pamper session
Made another crustless quiche to use up a few bits from fridge
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
Check: Lucky Bob, PMP, WinaDinner
Catch you all tomorrow, Night all

Mumoftwins, stick with us as its a great thread!
Thanks Ally you reminded me to check tcb and I've got £2 payable that I didn't know had cleared
Also I've sewn up a little hole in ds1's pajamas as soon as I've spotted it, these things would often just end up in a pile, waiting to be done for months on end in the old days.
Heating's off and we have lit some tea lights for a bit of warm and glow (I'm usually desperate to get the tree down on Boxing day but we took it down today and I'm missing the glow!)
Planned tomorrows meals all from what we have in already.
Done a yougov survey and a 1poll
Thats it for today. First spend free day of the year!Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
