Good morning all
Last day of the holidays for me. DH has gone back to work today.
The wm is on again. Today’s list is to take down the remains of Christmas, vacuum up more glitter, see off the ironing pile and get that meal plan sorted. The freezer is stuffed so the aim is to make space in it during January. Oh and phone the dr for the results of the blood tests that I had over Christmas - see that procrastination coming.
Hugs Valli. X
Stay strong ASB. We are all here for you my lovely. X0 -
Hello all. Hope your days are going ok.
Just the dailies done here. Going to walk the dogs now before getting back to the paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Thought I'd attempt a post today.
ASB strength vibes comin' atcha; been there, done that. Him pushing me down the stairs once too often was the catalyst; luckily I had somewhere to go, so affordable accommodation wasn't an issue. You'll get there. Personally I see no logic whatsoever in remaining together when the love is all gone, even if domestic violence isn't part of the deal.
Anyways - the plan is to Kondo this blighted lupus flare. Yep, I'm still struggling. But have managed to pack away the tree and other tat today, so it's a start.
Unfortunately, the fatigue strikes out of nowhere, and it really is like being hit by Mjolnir - not pleasant at all. But we'll get there - planning ahead is the trick, I think.
We're cutting back on alcohol; but won't do Dry January, because the second we commit to that, the one thing we really, really want is a glass of wine. So it simply doesn't work for us. Good luck to those embarking on it though.
Slightly belated Happy New Year, all.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all
Paid stuff done, have had an early finish as all quiet, many people not back to work yet so an easy start to the new year for me... I say early but I started at 7 so have probably only had about 30 mins off LOL.
Dailies were done this morning, 1 wash load done and on airer and a second running through now. As soon as it’s done will load again for the morning, it’s a never ending cycle...
Popping out to run an errand now, then I think I will have an hour with my book before starting supper x0 -
Hello everyone  hope you've all had a good day!
I've not done too much today as my new wellies have given me a huge scabby blister on my left Achilles which means walking hurts (so, I should be waited on hand and foot!....erm...DH?), as it cracks and splits with each footstep. Cue reason for popping over to a friend's to meet their new little dachshund puppy. O. M. G. She's far too cute! I tried to slip her into my bag when we left, but my friend frisked me at the door :rotfl:
I have put DW, WM & TD on several times to clear the last of the gibble in the kitchen and laundry room and remembered to put out the recycling bins today as Wednesdays are our usual day, but as it was NYD yesterday, the bin men had a well deserved day off.
Chickens and goats all tucked up in their houses, woodburner roaring away and a cup of tea (not G&T as usual) in my hand.
Nothing spent today and no alcohol consumed *polishes halo*
ABS - sending a big squeezy hug to you - just take each day as it comes. You'll get through this xxx0 -
Absolutely shattered today - hubby woke me up suffering with a migraine.....then bladder woke me up....then eldest dog woke me up so I wasn’t in the best of moods before even getting to work
Flying - changed a bed now have a wet dog curled up on it :mad:
Did some washing. Decluttered a ham sarnie for tea.
Um that’s it!!!!
Hangs head in shame ....

Hi all
Back to work today after 3 weeks off which was really hard while DS is still in hospital but I have used all my holidays and I cant afford to take unpaid leave. Meeting with bosses next week to discuss what happens if I need to take time off while DS has his chemotherapy.
DH is on his way back from a full day in hospital.
ASB I cant offer you any practical advice but DS being so poorly has made me realise that you have got to make the most of every day. Hugs x
round sorry but you made me giggle with your whole turning left/turning right thing - we are so alike.
One load of washing done, few Christmas presents tidied, house is not too bad x0 -
