  • Good morning and happy new year friends

I was fast asleep by 11pm, heaven.

YL I am thinking if you and your DS xx

Dizzy I am also not drinking in January, I have at least a stone to lose and not drinking will really help that. 2020 is going to be my year of self care. Easy to say when I'm sat in bed with a cuppa at 9.30 on a Wednesday, not so easy to maintain when I'm back to reality of full time work next week. But I am determined. As I explained to my mum last night, the past few years have shown no one will look after me but me, and this is my life, no one else's, and I don't want it to be this way anymore.

Valli I may well PM you as and when I need to for advice if that's ok on practicalities.

Today's plans include dog walks, a hot bath and writing some letters to close some accounts, may as well get some admin done now.

Welcome to the new decade friends, thanks for being my pals, love to all xxx

    Hello again,

Well I didn’t get any more sleep but had a restful couple of hours with my book and a new journal, head is clearer now and am ready to face the day.

Dailies will be done next and then a bit of a tidy in the office ready for work tomorrow along with some paperwork sorting I think. Nothing too strenuous. Laundry from yesterday to be FUPA and DH will do the ironing as there is only a little bit.

Going to head out for a walk and some fresh air this afternoon and will then prep for an early supper and a nice quiet evening I think.

Will flutter about a bit if the mood takes me but if not it doesn’t matter, the house is mostly presentable and no visitors planned.

Have a good day all, don’t work too hard x
  • Happy New Year everyone, hope it is kind to you all. I won’t be doing much flying just the basic, I will start afresh tomorrow. Baby sat DGD last night and she slept over which was lovely 😊
I think I remember reading somewhere that doing washing on New Year’s Day is back luck, I best not tempt fate but the pull isn’t getting smaller.
    Have lovely days all xxx

    New Year's Resolution...

To spend more time with the people I love.

    I rather like it.

Happy New Year to you all x

Took Mum to see Little Women yesterday. Brilliant film! Mum slept through quite a bit of it though.

Stayed up past midnight to being in the new year with 3 ratties and 2 piggies :D

Now off to Dad's to have the Christmas pudding we couldn't manage last week!

Recycling in box and washing up done!

Have a good afternoon all xx

No new year resolutions here. I'm already an expert at lots of things, the main one being procrastinating. Have had quite a lazy day.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Happy New Year everyone, Hope everyone has had a good festive break. I decided to stop stressing and just enjoy some chill time so I've not really done much flying.

Today, I have pottered around and done some small tasks:
    • Started organising diary for 2020
    • Changed bedding
    • Done 2 loads of washing
    • Persuaded DH to check his wage slips, as I don't think they are correct

I'm going to put my feet up and enjoy some tv, then I will start with more flying and work tomorrow.
  • I have enjoyed a hike up the headland with the dog, and am already in PJs. No wine has been consumed despite half a bottle of cava being open in the fridge... I will have to throw it away which goes against every grain of my being but dry January is happening!

I also made a huge pan of veggi soup which will be my dinners for a few days at least.

Phone turned off so no one can bother me, kids watching jumanji, fire lit. Good first day of the decade. X

Pigpen you utterly amazed me last time I was on here and you still do so now! Do you ever stop?

No, not really.. I'm sat here now sale searching for a new carpet for the front room.. I've dished out some commands, decluttered fruit down my neck and achieved very little physical stuff.
... As I explained to my mum last night, the past few years have shown no one will look after me but me, and this is my life, no one else's, and I don't want it to be this way anymore.

Keep that in the front of your mind.

3 of my children separated from their partners in the summer. One is back at home.. one came back for a week and has a room in a shared house and the other is living indepentently with 3 children and found out she was pregnant the day before her partner slept with a woman from work and contracted numerous STI's which he has passed on to DD putting the unborn babies life at risk.. They have been apart 4 months now and she is doing ok all things considered (pregnancy, universal credits, tenancy for the house, school runs, hyperemesis, STI's).. she is finally seeing a light at the end of the dark tunnel.. and you will too. It is like a bereavement, the loss of the future you thought you had, the safety and security of the relationship, all the upheaval of money and housing and possibly changing schools etc.. it is all a big shock to the system.. take each day one at a time, hour by hour some days.. but it will end and life will be what you want it to be.... I can't promise that winning lotto ticket though. Ask for support and help if you need it, you have friends and family who love you and will help you through every step.. don't be afraid to ask, it's not failing.. it is taking control and being strong !! If people offer to help.. accept! Have a list of things they can help with.. even cooking a meal or helping you move or pack or decorating.. no one wants to see you struggle. xx You will survive xx

Best thing I ever did kicking cf out.

    DW is on apparently..
Dot being VERY full on today..
