ASB that is a lovely attitude for a new year, and I hope we can help you ride out the rocky bits.

    Not very concentrated flying today.
    Filled bird feeders.
    Washed up.
    Bit of tidying in kitchen.
Mr N has started taking up the rotten parts in the kitchen floor. Ugh. Kitchen units all over the place now.
Did a bit more of a report but my concentration is naff.
Sent a whole load of e-New Year's cards.
Walked up to the village to do some drumming practice.
Went to visit MIL in hospital. No masks/gloves/aprons needed now it seems so unclear whether she has/had flu. She was a bit brighter today to the extent of being very stroppy and rude to Mr N, which I hate, although I know it's the dementia speaking when she replies "bull***t" to most of what he said........She told the nurses this morning that they couldn't wash her bottom because she is 100............(she's 90).
As we'd parked in Mr S carpark we went in search of bargains, but sadly none to be had.

Have a good evening everyone who is celebrating, we've got champers left over and some smoked salmon, but neither of us do New Year so won't be waiting up. I love Christmas but hate New Year, find it really depressing (mourning Christmas).

    See you next year.

Good Morning and a very happy new year to you all. Wonderful words Valli. thank you x

Well we did the garage yesterday so there is now space for the bathroom to be delivered. DH took a load of stuff to the tip and I have some things in the boot of my car for a charity drop off. Dailies were done, along with washing x 2, quick vac of lounge, landing and one flight of the stairs. We decided to postpone our nice meal as the beef wasn’t defrosted properly :eek:good job it was only for the two of us. So we will have that this evening.

Last day off work for us today, not looking forward to going back, the break has gone too quickly and I have awoken with work stuff on my mind this morning and couldn’t get back off. Going to have a quick cuppa now and then see if I can doze for a little longer.

Hugs to all, bye for now x

    Happy new year Flyers.

Another day on my own and I'm really tired as the dogs wouldn't settle after the fireworks. Just going to plod along today and see what can be achieved.

    Have a great day everyone.

DS and GF went out to the village pub and I was sat here watching tv when I developed an urge to go out  I remembered 'If you keep doing the same things in the same way, why are you surprised when you get the same result?' (can't remember who said it, and I've probably mangled the quote but you get the gist :)) So instead of going to bed at 10 as usual, I went to the pub :D Didn't get changed or anything - although I did fling on my best coat - just went. Live singer, great atmosphere, very merry DS :D. Come on 2020 :T But I did come home at 11.45 to bring in the New Year home alone - my choice. Next New Year's Eve I'm going to be on that dance floor and still there at midnight - so the first thing I did this morning was get weighed.:eek: Slinky is back on at this house :D Not setting a weight target - the goal is to be on that dance floor on 31st December :)

Not had much sleep - too wired. And when I did sleep I dreamed I was catching escaped budgies - hardly a relaxing pastime :rotfl:

Flying? I got up :rotfl: I have made my bed, knotted the rubbish bag in the kitchen ready to go out.

:coffee: cheers to friends old and new

Morning fellow flyers - Happy New Year to you all :j

Positive thoughts and virtual hugs to all in need or wanting them - let's make 2020 a great year!

Today I am making a start on the dining room. Today's must-do task is to clear, clean and sort the dresser. I have a collection of empty gin bottles adorning the top, which I have been saving for a lighting project involving a cartwheel (physical wheel not a tumble in the garden) so I need to decide on my favourites for that and recycle the rest. I'll be doing that gradually as I don't want the bin men thinking i have a MAJOR drinking problem

I'm also doing dry January as my kidneys and liver have taken a pounding over the last few months, so a detox is needed. It helps that I stuffed my face in December to use up all the Christmas food, so nothing left for January :rotfl:

Having a cuppa back in bed. Tiny is watching TV in the lounge surrounded by dogs asking for his sugar waffle and Small is on the PS4 playing games with my nephew down south.

So far, 2020 has started well.

    Love to all x
