    Afternoon all

Well we had a productive (and expensive) morning...

    Carpet chosen and ordered
    Furniture chosen and ordered
Bed- selected one, mulling it over for a bit
    Food shop done

WM run x1, it’s on the line, hopefully it will dry a little
    Bins emptied
    Bathroom scrubbed
Bedroom and office dusted and hoovered
    Stairs hoovered
DH is just dusting and hoovering the lounge while I empty bins and shuffle some more laundry about

Hugs, GWS vibes for the poorlies x

I've offered to take GF home but she wants to stay here. YL - I was quietly relieved as it would have meant driving through the middle of Hull

I think I'll continue to bumble - putting bits and bobs away as the fancy takes me, and read a book with Jazee :)

    Rxx

And think again. GF decided that she did want to go home please. So I have just returned from a round trip to the other side of Hull Only went wrong once - on my way home took a wrong turn and ended up back on the dual carriageway in to Hull :eek: Managed to find a way off before I was back in the city - calculated risk paid off :T

So bumbling may be left until tomorrow but I'll still read :D

Anyone got a smart meter fitted? Opinions thereof welcome.

  • Today did not go as planned  I slept through 2 alarms and so the structure did not happen that I wanted. A magazine I ordered still hasn’t turned up so I had a strop about that. Cleaned bedroom and bathroom in a strop and they are gleaming now.
Then I spent time on FB - and cried my eyes out at all the posts about Australia and the koalas. Gave myself a row and to stop being a crabby cow and cuddled the dogs.
My magazine will turn up. Tomorrow’s housework was done today. Ironing will be done later (I know how to rock a Sat night!!)
Off to walk the pooches xxxxxxxxx

Work expands to fill the time available for its completion, (I paraphrase, probably) - in other words, instead of getting on with it I faff about.

pointless.. I was one of the first people to get one in our area as I thought they would be great.. utterly pointless. My December bill this year compared to last is £158 MORE..

HAPPY NEW YEAR minions of flyland.

    WELCOME new peepies.. and

    WELCOME HOME to returners.

    LURKERS STOP LURKING!!

I have caught up on laundry
I have reported next door to the police for growing naughty plants.. soz neighbour but my bed room stinks and I cannot sleep in the stench as it is making me ill.. I swear I am the only person in the world allergic to cannabis! (Feels like hayfever but my mouth is also swollen and my throat is razor blade sore)
Kittens all taken to RSPCA for free microchipping today.. that will save us £75.. I need CPL vouchers and we can go be snipped too..

OH got through all the dirty pots before he went to work.

I have a battenburg to declutter and all our christmas junk is gone... it's been a hard slog but someone had to do it, right?!

I have calculated my January finances.. I am poor as a church mouse and not quite sure how we are going to make ends meet.. I dread to think how little OH will be paid having had 4 weeks off work

OH had his second shift back at work yesterday and the kitchen manager said maybe he should think about having more time off because his head isn't in the game... the fact that they have lost 1 member of staff, 2 are on 'light' duties because they are pregnant.. he btw is also supposed to be on 'light duties' having had surgery, but of course he is 'just ' a man and clearly doesn't need to recover.:mad: anyway, I said he can tell the km to fluff himself and if they hadn't been moving everything to new places while he was off he would be fine. To also remind him he was supposed to be on short shifts for a couple of weeks and has 5x 12 hour shifts in his first week! The KM is actually looking fairly inept and I told OH he should have applied because what he lacks in experience he makes up for in brain cells, ability to count and do paperwork and as the job is supposed to entail more paper and less food he would probably excel... but anyway.. so long as gets paid if he is daft enough to take crap from someone who has been there 5 minutes thats on him and I have very little sympathy.

I have 2x blankets to knit, lots of baby cardies because DD1 can't face doing any and a book to write.. tonight.. lol... Cuppa, battenburg and Vikings it is...

    Morning all.

Have had a great nights sleep and really must try to fly today.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning all,

Got my positive head on this morning. A white wash is merrily swishing, it's overcast but breezy so hopefully will dry outside. I did lots of admin last night and burnt a lot of paperwork on the fire. I have a new compost bin to assemble today which I am stupidly excited about, and a dirt cheap reduced pork joint defrosting for dinner.

Back to work tomorrow - la, la, la, not thinking about it :p
    Happy Sunday all xx

    Morning

I've deleted some old 'favourites' and caught up with / deleted emails whilst drinking my first brew.

Priority today is to take down the Christmas tree. Cards came down to make way for DS's birthday cards, which may be taken down today too.

That much to do that it doesn't matter where I start flying as long as I actually start :D

Clean underwear may be a higher priority that the tree  I'll start by sorting Mount Washmore in to loads, set WM swishing and we'll go from there :T
