Oh Calling! I have been making buttered toast all day. It is all they really want to eat, so hot chocolate and the smell of toast and making hot water bottles.

I am on a shake for breakfast and a shake for lunch. I have not succumbed. The good news is, DS1 finishes at 2pm, so at least it is not a 3 time, 3 location pick up today.

I am going to dunk them all in a hot bath after the mini school run .

Good luck with 'the man who wants to date you'. Sounds very interesting.....

Ah, we have got to the 85th of January at last :rotfl:
Thanks for running the challenge Apple :)
Ending the month with 13 NSDs, which isn't bad for me, as I tend to be a little and often shopper :)
  • Hope the boys are feeling better soon f0xh0les.
Thanks Apple for running the challenge, and to my fellow turtles for helping me to survive the longest month of the century. I'm pleased that I have survived till payday and I will have a bit of cash for about 48 hours :rotfl:
    See you in Feb!

Today I am grateful for time out and about with dh, for finding particular food items for dd, for getting some admin stuff done, for dd loving the show rehearsal, for just about being fit to drive, for croci popping up, for hm chicken + chips for tea - yum!

Thank you to all you turtles out there for joining me on a quest this month. And for wearing your capes and masks with pride.

I had a month of 2 halves: pre-op and post-op. In some ways it was easier, having 2 completely different halves: one where everything was possible and the other which was much more immobile.

Soon the cape will be off and the flapper outfit will be on. (Tho I may still wear it over the top occasionally...) See you over there!

    Morning all, just to update.

January NSDs 28th-31st, so 18/16 achieved.

Thankful for Little Turtle's weaning progress, good quality tea and curry.

    Off to February thread!

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)
  • Hi turtles
I am great full for this thread even though I quit it halfway through.
I have tried doing NSD’s and I’m not sure they work for me, however at least I have learned that I need a set amount of shopping money for the month for daily spends.
My travel card still has money left, and for a few weeks I was cost neutral...emergencies are expensive however I did have some budget for this, sadly not enough but it could have been worse.
Thanks for your updates, advice and ideas, I will keep reading and saving money but I think I have to retire my cape, and my shell!!!
