Got home from work early at 4, and really want to chill - very hard when the 'men' are replacing floor in ds room. It's a dark laminate - not sure about it, but they never ask, so what ever will bee will bee, so grateful for floor not for banging.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Evening all. Tough start to the week, a client we work with at work was murdered yesterday so spirits are low. Makes you reanalyse everything and what is important when someone who was just starting their life has had it cruelly taken away.
Finally managed to get a GP appointment. We have a video GP service in my area, called them only to be told they can't refer me for scans and I needed a face to face appointment :rotfl: honestly you can't make it up. Managed to get said face to face appointment next week. They've not been great re my back/hip so I have also researched the cost of private scans. If I have to go down that route I will. I don't blame my doctor but I can't wait another two years to get to the bottom of it.
Anyway sorry to be such a downer! Still plugging away, NSD number 19 yesterday, no NSD today as I was on training and had to buy lunch as no facilities on the course, but I only spent £5. I never buy lunch so I'm not overly fussed by doing it once in a blue moon. Did a bulk buy of rabbit litter, now can't shut the cupboard door because there's so much! But it works out ridiculously cheap so I don't mind. Got home early so went for a walk and had a bath. Time for dinner and some mindless drivel on the TV to clear my head.0 -
Suddenly realise that my mobility is awful, laze on couch when I get home. I eat too much. Do walk but not done 10k any day last week.
This totally describes me at the moment, just can't get up the motivation to do anything after work
Today has been a NSD so now on 14/16. Grateful for a good day at work, my cosy flat and leftover crumble.

Thanks Apple, sadly it's almost inevitable in the job I do but that doesn't make it any easier.0 -
Today I am grateful for sending dd back to school, for the cold weather and some sunshine, for buses, for being able to walk more, for a good clear up of gubbins, for being able to help out some friends, for getting ready to wind up my quest and start flapping in Feb.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening...
Suddenly realise that my mobility is awful, laze on couch when I get home. I eat too much. Do walk but not done 10k any day last week.
Haha! Well Calling and Misstara! I am joining your couch potato club too!!! I was in my pjs and dressing gown before 6pm today... shocking!!! I suppose technically it is Winter... and IF we were bears living in some snowy wilderness we would probably be hibernating right now in our cave... having stuffed ourselves silly. I think we are fighting our in-built desire to do the same haha!!!
Anyway - the good thing about coming straight home... was I did not wander off the path and spend any more money, so bagged another NSD.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Solidarity in finding like-minded MSE couch potatoes
2) My yummy raw hot chocolate
3) 5 DAYS OFF WORK from today YIPPEE!!!
Night for now all x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

lcc - sorry to hear that.
Grocery shop is being delivered this morning. Am making curry for tea, am having leftover soup for lunch with some hm bread. Need to make some more bread in the next few days and some muffins for lunchboxes. I needed to make something else today but I can't remember what it is.
Last week I decided I wanted to spraypaint my wine rack black, it is an old one and was looking a bit worn, I looked at paint in The Range and Screwfix and thought it was too pricey and I would look for a wine rack in the charity shops. Anyway on Monday I was in the garage and saw a tin of black wood and metal paint, we'd only used a bit of it, gave it a good shake and 3 coats later my wine rack looks fab.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
