I have a large folder containing the Order of Service Memorial commemorations for funerals of friends and acquaintances I,ve lost over the years, many of which contain photos I would like to keep. .

It seems somehow disrespectful and sad to bin them so I've no idea what to do with them short of asking for them to be put in my coffin so that they can accompany me in my own last journey ! Any ideas?
Do you have a scanner, Primrose? If so, my suggestion would be to scan them into your computer, that way, you can still keep them all, without the paper 'clutter' as it were. Possibly cutting out and keeping just the photos?

13 kilos of business post has gone out this week, slowing down but taking the total to 83 kilos so far this year. A bit more squishing up this morning has cleared another box in the stockroom.

I managed to declutter the task of completing my tax return last weekend, hooray!

Yesterday I chucked out (into recycling box) 3 old kindle boxes, don't know why I was keeping them really - has cleared up quite a bit of space in a bedroom draw.

I've been using up a bit of my crafting stash, 20 cards made so far this year and work in progress towards quite a few more.

DH hates decluttering and is a bit of a hoarder. I used to squirrel away bags of stuff and then take to charity shop. However, we are now both retired. He doesn't go out as much as me. Our nearest town/charity shop is 12 miles away! How do I get the stuff out of the house without him seeing? I need H E L P :)

I have squired a couple of bags away and need to get them out!

I love him to bits, but if he sees the bags he will want to look through them and will no doubt say we need to keep them. They are stuff like an old picnic hamper, old PC keyboard etc.,

  • I do wonder if my socks get eaten as well. I have a load.

4 dining chairs have been collected that is

349/365 items. I am hoping to make it 365 by the end of tomorrow. I have some bits on ebay ending tomorrow so if they pay, it is a distinct possibility.

I am also returning the slow cooker to my mum tomorrow. I don't use it anymore so she might as well have it back. x

    I've carried on:
350 -lasagne sheets 4 years out of date
351- quinoa - 1 year out of date
352 - pair of old ballet shoes
353 - slow cooker in the car
354 - pair of tights that no longer fit little one
355 - Ex's cushion returned to him tomorrow (in car)
    356- chipped cup
357-358 an absolute ton of paperwork and unwanted things. I have count it as two items
359 - felt in car to go the childminder as it seems to be breeding. At least 30 pieces, but counting as one.

Had an offer on the ebay books, but declined as it is a little low. Six more items to leave my house that wouldn't normally. x

I still have a ton of things.

One pair of pyjama bottoms to be washed and then upcycled. Developed a rather large rip in them yesterday ( and no they were not too tight!)

Hi, please can I join in. I used to post on the decluttering thread years ago, and was doing really well, but since my DH passed away in 2016 I just couldn't be bothered, and now I have a lot of clutter to get rid of again. Yesterday I took a bag to the CS containing 11 items of clothing, a quilt cover and pillowcase set, an odd pillowcase and 18 pairs of knitting needles.

I need to spend a day or 2 sorting the 'cupboard of doom' again, and try to actually get rid of some stuff instead of just ramming it all back in again, lol! I also have a 'drawer of doom' that needs sorting again, I may try to do that tomorrow.
