  • So hot after the rain that we retired to our rooms & had a nap - although we did go down to the beach we didn’t go in the sea :o - just returned our towels & reclaimed the cards.
DH & I did a bit of shopping - t-shirt for him, fridge magnet for me & a pen for DSis. DSis did go down & have a quick paddle but there was absolutely no-one swimming. Had a couple of drinks in the bar then went & changed for our last dinner :( Now in the wi-fi area with the loudest music in the world & a solitary singer. Just way too loud. Internet took half an hour to come up :(

    Well Done jammydodgersandrhl :T.

Now would we think such a thing Gem-gem :rotfl:

Welcome aboard Sue14 - nice to see you. Sorry to hear about your loss. You have made an excellent start :A and I am sure you will make short shrift of the cupboard & drawer of doom :rotfl:

Wow chocolatedrinker :T You have nipped in to be awarded what I think is the first Gold Star ⭐️
Well Done :T and also the 2nd Gold Star ⭐️ over 1000 - I am in awe

See you all tomorrow & keep up the excellent work everyone :T

Mrs Porridge, could you get the bags in the boot in the boot of the car whilst he's I the shower or bath?? Then say you need to go for some shopping to take it?
Or get to a neighbours house if you don't drive and arrange for British heart foundation to pick up??
Primrose, how about if you arrange the photos in a collage and take a picture of them , this can then go on a usb stick? I find if it's family I have photos anyway and they are from happier events so prefer to remember them this way than by memorial service cards.x
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.

My kitchen is so much tidier looking. During the summer I made a huge amount of jams and pickles and though lots of them were given away at Christmas I still had plenty for myself but no where to put them. I only have a small kitchen so they were just in a cardboard box that I had a move to get to the washing machine or lined up on the floor in front of the cupboard I sorted earlier in the week.
They are now all on a small shelving unit that I brought from IKEA yesterday, it was in bargain corner so was cheaper than the trolley I had planned to get. It fits perfectly in the space that the wine rack used to be, the wine rack is now by the front door ready to go to a charity shop once the main charity shop bag is full again.
It’s not really decluttering as it’s one item in one item out but the space just feels so much better.
Along with a full jars I was also having to step over a stash of empty jars that I had collected, these I sorted and have kept only the most useful of sizes ready for this years preserving (8 JARS TO RECYCLING) and they no longer have to live on the floor

    Happy Sunday!
A lovely frosty morning and the sun is out :T. Which does mean I can see the state of the windows on the back of the house, but never mind :o.
In a bag ready to go, 3 x hoodies that DS never wears, a surplus to requirements umbrella, a nice tin that I have no use for, 2 unopened eyeshadow palettes that DD doesn't want now she has posher ones from Santa, and a box of apple pies that are near expiry and can go to communal kitchen at work (everyone is being good in this house so they won't get eaten).
Food shop has arrived and has been put away. I'm going to have a bit of a tidy and hoover around and see if anything else can be ousted as I go.
    Guineapigsqueaks x

    Keep Smiling :)
