So much for the cast aluminium pan buying expedition 😔 Neither of us woke up until 11:30 a.m. 😔😔😔 The Indian Summer has ended ☹️ Low dark cloud, damp but only light rain so far & a very chill wind 🙁 A day for comfort food so sausages out of the freezer for today’s dinner which will be baked, accompanied by roasted hg tomatoes, mash & possibly fried red onions if I cba’d 😉
DH & I had hm soup - better today as I had thickened with some cornflour. One task completed, telephone banking - paid cc bill, € transfer to DNeph & checked account transactions. All done for the next month 👏

OMG. A medal AND 2 stars.
Thankyou so much Mrs SD
. I dropped by to say I wouldn't be in for a week or so now as I am going on hols with my friends to Whitby (should have been Croatia) on Friday.
I have just spent a few days visiting my Porstmouth sisters. The one with the hoarding tendencies gave me 10 bags of stuff plus other bits to take away. Normally it would just go to the CS but she needs tht money as half her benefits have been summarily stopped so I am going to be selling of flebay etc. I didn't know it but old VHS videos have a value. I am so proud of my sister.
I have bought it all into the house and will sort it after work tomorrow.
In other decluttering news: I managed to return the library books I got out just before lockdown and gave half a bag of wool away to a friend before leaving yesterday. Just going to call this one bag.
Congratulations on your birthday garden_girl_2. Its annoying how the goal posts have been moved for state pensions. A year can go very quickly happily.

Thanks everyone for giving me pleasure seeing how on top of fluttering you are. Here i have up when lockdown started - basically I wasted hours in my tablet following the grim stories. One day of fluttering was that WE with days off and nowhere to go started declutterng and at one time had bags piled up behind two sofas.I have now got a target on one item per day from the first of September u til the end of the year 122 items i think, so here is the first lot out.
3 pairs trousers
1 cardigan
2 pairs of socks
1 bra
18 books
1 belt
1 bag for life, used to take the stuff to the CS
6 magazine a
1 load of cardboard from DH books bough online
1 like is paper work to our compost bins.
I think that is 34 items.
I am collecting books again as I don't go out so much now as is the same for most people . In one way i am saving cash which is for my next trip to the UK to see my children and theDGC. I had to cancel a trip just as lockdown started here and no refunds but glad I did as friends whom I was to visit went down with the virus the day after i was to leave and I would probably have brought it back with me. They are fine now and here where we are in France things are well managed and masks worn everywhere . So, best wishes to you all. Reading your posts and the others i follow is a highlight of my day. Hugs.

Me again. Sorry about the fluttering. I did change it but the tablet is obviously an anxious one about decluttering.I will say some soothing words to it.

I CBA’d to fry onions last night, quelle surprise 😉 Wednesday rained on & off all day but the silver lining was that I didn’t have to water the garden 👏
Thursday is currently blue skies with fluffy white clouds ⛅️ & sunshine 👏 but noticeably cooler than of late. DH has gone to L*dl for the weekly shop, as there is something he wants on the Centre Isle 😉 (Out of luck 🙁) The intention is to go pan shopping this afternoon - hold that thought 😉 Maybe not .......... just after 1:00 p.m. & it has started hurling it down ☹️ oh well at least I won’t have to water the garden 😉1734 - 1739 Kitchen recycling, Uu deodorant can, large cardboard box, bag of office recycling, booklet, drinks cans - Recycled1740 Bag of kitchen detritus - BinnedRL & scratching noises in the walls might be taking over TC77 ☹️ but you are still decluttering 👏
You are very welcome bit_by_bit 🙂 - you earned them 👏 Sounds like you had a great visit with your sisters. I am especially impressed with hoarder DSis - 10 bags 👏 a remarkable achievement 🥳 However I am disgusted at TPTB 👿 but I wish you every success in selling items at top prices 😇
Lovely to see you retiredinfrance 🙂👋🙂 Sounds like the French PTB are being consistent in their rules (my DNeph works in a shop & has to wear a mask all day & also walking home 😱) I rather like fluttering as a replacement for decluttering - rather sums up my current mood - fluttering from one thing to the next & not getting any decluttering done 😔 On the other hand you have been busy 👏 I hope you get the mood lighting correct for your chat to your tablet 😆 a gentle warning that if it doesn’t behave itself it will be “fluttered” unless Declutter makes a comeback 😆😉 Good luck with your new target 🤞& I think you are on 35 😉
Hopefully you will pop in & visit us once a week 🤞BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. SAVE LIVES.MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏅1740/2020Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £379.00

Thank you Mrs SD and bit by bit. Yes a year will soon go, look how fast this one is going!!!
I decluttered some nearly ood dates, crystalised ginger and some grotty bans into chutney. Another 6 jars for the cupboard. I returned a big carrier full of books, to a friend, another half of bag to me to read. Then along came another friend with some more and bug. er me, now another friend is bringing me more today. Sometimes you dont get any, but then, like buses you get more than one at a time!!😂😂 at least I havent bought them, which is something I said at beg of year I wouldnt be doing, so thats good. Decluttered net curtain from bk door today and replaced with a new one. A bag is filling up nicely for sc and sc rags.8 -

ailz95 - good luck with the mice. I'm hoping ours are mice - did have rats - but put one way valves in - have been putting mesh and steel wire everywhere, but had some dampproofing done about 2 years ago and they left gap at the bottom of the wall - and said fine to just put skirting on - but think they could be using it as a race track! Hope electrical tape works - sounds v scary. Thanks for all encouragement, and cheer leading Mrs SD - really cheers me up.Manage to add 3 more to CS bag and drop off at lunchtime and 4 things for textile recycling 1817 - 1824Hoovered DD1 old room, and throw assorted small rubbish 1825 - 1828, also DD2 and emptied Henry1829 ood strawberries (not sure how they were left)1830 difficult admin tasks12
