Saturday has dawned bright & clear - blue skies, sun but oh so chilly 🥶
A simple pleasure today - I got up 10 minutes after the milkman turned up for payment 😉 fortunately DH was up 😂 so he paid the 5 week Milk bill 😉😆I have started knitting hand warmers - one pair done slightly large so will go into the bag of knitted items for the homeless.

Excellent work Nicnak 👏 Clearing clutter from drawers means you create space to keep useful items together 👏 I think a pencil case in exchange for at least 20 bits of tat is a fair trade 😉BE KIND. Todays bits include:
1 canvas picture
1 picture frame
1 of OHs Tshirts (his donation - I know better than to clear his stuff without him!)
1 pottery moulded tealight holder - slightly sentimental as I handpainted it on a Guide trip to Mexico (quite well I might add! 😆) but it doesnt really go anywhere and I feel like im waiting for it to get broken so I can get rid of it so Im donating it incase someone else can enjoy it! 🤞
...Decluttered some brownies from the freezer too but the less said about those the better 😋🙈Simplify and then Simplify some more!10 -

Decluttered and shredded a whole shredder box full of receipts, private papers etc., half of it went in compost bin (its now full till it shrinks down a bit), rest went into black bin (not recyclable), thry wont accept into recycle bin as its bitty!! Made a call to our holiday insurance Co, asking for a refund of premium pd for a year, theres no way we are going abroad for ages, worse luck....want to see 2 DD and hubby!!!! Anyway got a pro rata refund Of £427, lost about 50, so well chuffed. So thats now all the money back for our no go holiday to USA, thanks to Covid!!! Have had really horrible weather this side of the country last 2 days, but havent done much, I keep seeing lots I could do, but havent got the inclination....😂😂only thing ive done today is a bit of baking and cooking stir fry for tea...how lazy..lol

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEI spoke too soon about the weather 🙁 started raining about midday & rained on & off for the rest of the day ☹️ Found an unused wooden box which now contains 4 bags of bread flour, bag of plain & bag of SR. This in turn freed up enough shelf space in one of the kitchen cupboards to put a couple of bags of pasta & a box of cereal. DH spent some time changing the silencers on one of his bikes. Managed to do one side, but the old silencer on the other side wouldn’t come off 😠 He will try again tomorrow. I tweaked the hand warmer knitting pattern & knitted a 2nd pair which fit better.Dinner was spaghetti Bolognese - used some of my hg tomatoes 🙂 delicious 🤤

Hello, i love reading this thread and as we've just moved into a new house and im currently in the process of unpacking looooads of boxes im doing alot of decluttering!
This is the 1st house we ve had together as a couple, before we were living in my house (which will be rented out from 1st october), so OH's stuff was all in storage.... and my gosh did he keep everything he ever owned/got given !!
So alot of stuff from his boxes has been decluttered, he didnt even know what some of it was 🙄. Ive also been brutal with the children's clothes as they literally wear 3 or 4 outfits and the rest i keep as "you never know they might want to wear tht".... they wont... ever... so its gone to storage boxes as hand me downs for bébé ! Nice tidy wardrobes all round.
Ive also been putting like things away together in strategic places so its all easy to find.. see how long tht lasts.... but i really want to make this house practical for us as a growing family of 5, with busy lives, i want the space to work for us not against us.
Anyway, happy decluttering everyone ! Will be decluttering 2 big chickens from my fridge today as we have 8 adults and 5 children over for lunch (including us)! Its a cold wet sunday here in rural France so maybe get the fire lit and we can all sip our wine (not for me, still breastfeeding 🥰) in front of that whilst the roast cooks.10 -
Slowed down a bit yesterday but was busy meeting friends !
1222 an oven proof dish I haven't used in years.
1223 more shredding. I'm sure paperwork breeds somewhere in this house.
1224-1226 more work magazines recycled
1227 10 emails unsubscribed from.
1228 a window squeegy binned.
1229 another bag of cobnuts to a friend.
That was more than I thought which is good.10
