I took a bag of worn out night clothes to the recycling bins in the town car park, and to make it worth the trip delivered a casserole to Ex who is having a hard time as he can't get out (disabled). The casserole was decluttering from my freezer and fridge, it was very tasty but I kept adding things until it was enormous, hence sharing it. Ex peered at it and said oh it's got courgettes in! Well yes, hasn't everything at this time of year?! Anyway he liked it and seemed pleased that I'd bothered so that was good. At home I binned some cardboard boxes and the bag from some dry dog food which is now in a big tin. Also a huge black bag of shredding from my trawl through the paperwork. Still lots to do though. I've changed my bed too, put the thin cover away and got the duvet out as it is so comfy and fluffy! It's colder at night now but lovely and warm in bed.

Monday was a glorious day - clear blue skies, sunshine & warmth. Surprise, surprise I was actually awake for delivery of my cast aluminium pans - delivery slot was 7:51 to 11:51 🙄- arrived at 9:30.
The roasted vegetables (cauliflower, onions, beetroot, parsnips, potatoes, tomatoes) were decanted to a saucepan & I added lo gravy, lo peas & lo roasted tomatoes + 500ml water. Heated & then mashed rather than zizzed to create a chunky soup. Very tasty with crusty bread.DH went out on his bike - throaty roar with the new silencers 😉 I used DLR to get into town to bank PB cheque & bags of change + bought anniversary card (28 years 😱) I was also right about the homeless being turfed out ☹️ - saw one chap & gave him a fiver.
Finished knitting the 3rd pair of hand warmers.
Dinner was sausages, mash & plum tomatoes for DSis. DH & I had oven baked winter melon (Formosa neighbour’s allotment) filled with savoury mince topped with grated Parmesan & slices of mozzarella - yummy 😋.

Thought I'd posted this but I can't find it, I think I've lost the plot too as I can't find that either
Apologies if it's a duplicate.
One pair of slippers, my favs, but they had to go because the sole was hanging off and I couldn't get another day out of them ! A pillow case, which ripped when I tried to use it and has now gone into my rag bag. Some bits of material, too small to be of use into the bin as I'm back making Barbie a winter wardrobe ( for DGD dolls not mine, I had Sindy and Tressy ! )Take care all. Hugs for anyone in need.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -

Vala I used to knit when my DD was small, but really hand knitting was my late DM's domain. As a child I always had knitted cardigans, jumpers, pleated skirts, hats and mittens etc. My favourite ever was a zip up cardi when I was about 7/8, it was cream with a ballet dancer on the back. I prefer to sew on the machine as my eyesight is not as good as it used to be so I find hand sewing a bit difficult these days.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9

5 balls of wool for CS
1 cardboard box for recycling
Total so far is 45.
My new good habit is to put cardboard into the recycling when the book arrives to stop the like getting bigger.
Also the above box is a testament to my new strategy with DH. Instead of asking if we can reduce the cardboard heap in the garage, I pick out one box and say " do you mind if this goes in the recycling ". Worked a treat, but mustn't try it too often!.
I had intended to start on the jumpers but the wool stash was easier.I just picked out all mohair wool which I don't like and popped them into a bag.Easy peasy.
I really enjoy this thread . With the virus situation I am not out as much and miss actually chatting with people. But now I can chat to you all out there. Keep safe!12 -

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUETuesday was a mixed day - overcast & dark with some rain or blue skies & brilliant sunshine - couldn’t quite make up its mind 😉Odd story for the day coming up. Neighbour from across the way came over & told us that a fox had managed to get into her back garden but couldn’t get out again (6’ fences all around). She put out some water Monday night but when she went out in the garden Tuesday she found the fox had died ☹️ Neighbour phoned a) the council who were not interested as private house b) RSPCA who were not interested as fox was dead. My DH came up with the idea of bagging/boxing up the body & taking it to the tip. Being a kind & generous man, DH went over to neighbours garden to deal with the body only to find that the fox had died in between the shed & fence. He had to use a hoe & rake to get the body out ☹️ Anyway managed to sort it out & the body was boxed & bagged. DH then drove to the Tip, explained what he had & was refused entry. Apparently various animals would rip & tear through the bag & box & make a mess (open skips). Upshot is that the body is in our wheelie bin - collection day is Wednesday.DH placed an order for lots (& I do mean lots 😆😉) of wool - for scarves, hand warmers & maybe even beanies 😉
Minimum activity today - I made bacon sandwiches for DH & DSis, I had hm soup & crusty bread. I finished knitting a 4th pair of hand warmers. Dinner was baked beans & sausages on toast.1782 - 1784 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, drinks cans - Recycled
1785 - 1787 Kitchen detritus, office detritus, plastic packaging - BinnedShame about the slippers nannywindow 🙁 but they were an accident waiting to happen. Better safe than sorry 😐 I had a Tressy which I won in a competition - never really into dolls - I preferred Betta Bilda 🙂 Do you still have the ballerina cardigan nannywindow?Sounds like a very well dressed Siny, Vala-Mal-DoranGreat work retiredinfrance 👏 I especially like the devious way of reducing the cardboard box stash 😉😉Good work TC77 👏 every bit helps 🙂BE KIND. MrsSD I wish I still had that cardi as it was made with chunky wool and sooooo warm. I had Betta Bilda too, I'm surprised we can spell properly seeing that on sale spelt all kinds of wrong, my teachers would have had a fit ! Yuck to the dead fox in your bin and such a shame for the poor thing. The council came once many moons ago as there was a dead rat in my garden (they used to do a rat catching service) and I thought they would take it away and put traps or poison down but no, they just asked for a couple of carrier bags, wrapped it up and shoved it into my bin
I didn't expect that !
Sorry not really decluttering talk, unless you count words out of my head and now in my postnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
I think i wouldve just buried the fox !10
