Two more bags to the CS today, mainly kids clothes and shoes, as all three seem to be sprouting with no end in sight. DS1 has gone up 4 sizes since the beginning of lockdown !! It made for a little outing with DH (still on furlough) and DS2, we stopped and had coffee (which we haven't done since before lockdown) and DS2 had juice and some pom bears and watched the buses. Apparantly, he had an amazing time (DS2), I've no doubt if he'd been able to sit in a cardboard box at the same time, it would have blown his mind

DD2 has lost her english GCSE work - won't listen to my ideas about organisingHi TC77Well done on the decluttering - and good luck with the blitz.DD is over the op, thanks. She'd probably say she's recovered - and, in a way, she has, It's just that everything else, even the smallest things, will drag her down to the point she's considering asking our GP if she can have another course of medication. She's been doing so well without it until now.I can understand your DD1 deciding against due to the risks. Mine said she felt like that when there was no pain, but knew that it would only get worse the longer she left it. Hence having the op despite the higher risk of permanent nerve damage. It can be hard judging how best to offer support. If you need to let off steam, feel free to PM me.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

Forgot to mention that the humongous box of wool arrived Wednesday afternoon 🙂
The fortnightly veg box arrived about 1:00 a.m. Thursday - potatoes, sprouts, 4 pak Choi, 2 aubergines, The smallest butternut squash I have ever seen 😉, a living lettuce & 3 red peppers.Thursday was a bright, sunny day but lots of clouds threatening rain 😱 but the rain didn’t materialise until late evening 👏 DH & I were going to go to L*dl early but forgot to get up 😉😉 We both pottered for a while - I finished the 4th pair of hand warmers & DH scarified the lawn, had lunch - hm soup & hm croutons then departed just after 2 p.m. We nearly didn’t make it past the 1st turn left - DH thought he had changed from 1st to 2nd gear but had accidentally kicked the bike into neutral so we nearly fell off 😱 😬 Certainly got the heart racing 😬 No further mishaps so arrived safely at the sm 👏 Unfortunately the middle aisle was bereft of what I wanted ☹️ However did manage to pick up more wool 😔, some fat quarters & a sewing magnifier with light - as well as food 😉
I harvested the last of the tomatoes (703g) - all green 🙁 and dismantled all the supports. DH then pulled up all the plants & composted them. The compost bin is chockablock.Dinner was oven cooked pork steaks with mashed potato, broccoli & sweetcorn for DSis & mashed parsnip & sweet potato, stir fried pak Choi, red pepper & sprouts with a glug of Worcestershire sauce & sweetcorn for DH & I.1798 - 1799 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - Recycled

Laughing with you basketcase 😉 Re the soggy carpet, you should definitely count each piece as TWO 🙂. Sorry to hear your DD is struggling, but with your love & support I believe she will get over her current hurdles. You are a great mum basketcase & I am sending good wishes & virtual hugs to both you & your DD.
Good work retiredinfrance 👏 That reminds me, I need to check under the bed & see if there is anything there.
Great work Nicnak 👏 It is surprising how much space plastic bags take to store 😬
Hopefully your DD1 won’t have a lot of pain TC77 & you can encourage her to have the op before real pain starts. Re DD2, she is a shining example to us to declutter & keep tidy 😉😉 - only joking. 🤞 that she or should that be you (I assume it is your fault that that the work is missing 😜) find the GCSE work. Good luck with the weekend blitz TC77 🙂🤞

Helloooo all, I have not completely abandoned the challenge lol! Here's a quick update: thanks for all your well wishes - doggy has made a pretty much full recovery now, she can keep her balance at play, not use her head to propel herself and is back to counter surfing!! She's not quite as fast as she was, tires out after a while and I now have to have eyes in the back of my head again! The floor has been rebuilt but I can't find a similar vinyl to the other end at the moment, so it's a nightmare with the weather keeping it dry from doggies and especially a 4 month old pup that is running rings round me at the mo!!I've mostly been working on building up the business again (happening slowly), desperately reducing bills to survive financially and trying to sort the garden to grow veg in without dogs digging up or eating it all!! However..............NEWSFLASH! I did manage to get BIG son to sort the old drum kit and get it out of my tool shed at long last (been about 10yrs its been blocking the space!) And then I grabbed the last of the sun to quickly sort the tool shed and a bit of the larger shed at last too. Much was extracted at once in my excitement, so couldn't count it all and yet again will have to guesstimate at about 50 items.630/2020

Went to my local charity shop today and left off
16 books
2 bags for life
4 winter jumpers
22 +45=67
I am really pleased with myself as I came back with 5 books, one a present for DSis if I ever get back to the UK.I put back one book as I realised I might never read it and a1 Euro dress. Summer clearance was in ,but I have enough dresses. So 2 euros going in a jar for those future UK holidays.stopping stuff coming in is half the battle.
Keep safe everyone.9 -
Planned to offload a huge bag at the charity shop today but the soggy blustery weather has put me off the half hour walk each way. So will attempt that next Friday instead.
decluttered the dirt from the oven door and one oven shelf. Will do the rest another day. Also sent off some very overdue cards.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?8 -

Friday is wet & wild & oh so dark ☹️ Rather pleased that we sorted out the tomato plants yesterday 👏 DH took his Harley Davidson in for a service & was booked in for two test drives of different Harleys. One was a success but the 2nd was not - he left the garage, got to the 1st roundabout & headed back. The garage is 3 miles away & only drizzling rather than pouring 😉 As the 2nd test ride was cut short, DH had a haircut & then had a full English + extras for lunch. I had a bowl of hm soup.
Two pleasures today - both DH & I won £25 on the Premium Bonds; book 9 of The Shipyard Girls series arrived today. I think I will reread the first 8 books & prolong the anticipation 😉 Dinner will be different for each of us tonight - currently defrosting a couple of one portion items from the freezer (thank heavens for my warming drawer 🥳)
DH will be having sausage casserole with rice, DSis has a choice of cheesy pasta or Bolognese & I will be having fridge los.1802 - 1803 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging - Recycled
Thanks for giving me a chuckle 🤭 Nicnak 👏Lovely to see you savvy 👋 Glad doggy is feeling better 🙂 They are so lovely but not a great benefit when trying to grow veggies 🤣 Great work on decluttering the tool shed & shed 👏 Everything crossed 🤞 that you can rebuild your business as quickly as possible 🤞
You are definitely getting back into the swing of decluttering, retiredinfrance 👏 I am very impressed that you resisted temptation & are saving the cash in a pot 🙂 for a future treat 👏 We definitely need something to look forward to as it appears nothing much will be changing for at least 6 months ☹️BE KIND. It can take 3 months to fully get over a general anaesthetic. It's common to be weepy and tired for many days afterwards.
We keep on taking a bag to the CS on our way out on a Tuesday. I've also managed to give away a bread maker and a yogurt maker - now if I can just get someone to take the halogen oven I was given I'll be content.
