Sunday was another glorious day - clear blue skies, very warm in the sun, a tad cool in the shade with a slightly cooler breeze. A perfect day 🙂😊☀️ DH watched all his MotoGP races, DSis spent most of the day in her room with occasional forays downstairs for food & beverages or to pop outside for a ciggie and I did a bit of staking of potato plants, harvested another 643g of red tomatoes. Prepped the fish & measured out the other ingredients & peeled the spuds for tonight’s fish pie.
When DH came down he washed both motorcycles, then was having a chat to MrG from across the road. I then spoke to MrG & enquired if he was going to be helping out with the homeless (rumour is they will be chucked out onto the streets as the weather gets colder 😡) as I have a bin bag full of hand knitted scarves 😇 Then in a preemptive strike I took him through to the back garden & offered him the double tumbler composter - we will have no space for it when the new raised bed is built. He jumped at the offer, so striking whilst the iron was hot MrG & my DH carried it over to MrG’s garden (both tumblers were half full 😉) Three happy people 😆
Fish pie is in the oven, garden has been watered & all is well 👏
The fish pie was topped with slices of hg tomatoes 🙂 & was delicious 😋 😋

Im an avid reader of this thread and love keeping up with all your inspiring decluttering efforts but I dont think I have ever posted!
However I need your advice - I have an item im stuck on - I have a shallow cast iron casserole dish which I was going to declutter as I've only used it twice in maybe 4 years 😅 However im hoping those of you with experience can let mw know if its worth keeping and making myself get used to using it more as I know these kind of dishes are long lasting and not got any dodgy coatings on it and in theory I should love it. I just always reach for the t£fal frying pan if i need something that size/depth.
Any advice or opinions would be very much appreciated - i know you guys have a wealth of experience behind you!

U can use it on an open fire if there is a power out! Will last for generations if u take care of it

Reporting in as decluttered a car.I bought a new (to me) car a year ago but hung onto it to teach my DD to drive. She has now gone back to uni so it was time to go. We are now down to two cars and a motorbike that is on G#mtree.
We cleared out half the garage today and will be taking a massive pile of stuff to the refugee centre. A lot of it is stuff picked up from festivals but I know will be really useful. I won't be able to drop it off for a few weeks as supposed to be going to Whity on Friday, with friends. The place we are staying in is huge and we all have our own room. Going to take plenty to do as we may not be able to do anything after we arrive.
A pile of stuff went into the bin and another pile is going to the recycling centre next week. All in all a great day. I also sorted through some bags a friend gave me yesterday and reallocated to the appropriate pile for donating.
In between times I went to the allotment to catch up with a friend, properly socially distanced which is easy to do on plots.
Popping down to Porstmouth Wednesday. Covid permitting to visit my DSister who was shielding when I last went a few months ago. She is a hoarder but has a load of bags of clothes for me to take.

Been busy working (yayy!) but checking in here to say I gave a bag of too small clothes to the chaz because I've still not lost the lockdown lard. Also because I've bought some new jeans and it's made me not want to squeeze into too small ones anymore. I'm still putting stuff for sale too, not much success lately though.Magnolia Stellata9

Not too much done
1158 - pane of glass from the cold frame which DH .Managed to smash while mowing the grass. I'm sure if I had counted every bit of glass I would have smashed my target!!
1159 - 1160 bits of plastic that nobody lays claim to.
1161 an old t shirt cut up for rags
That's it so will try harder this week.9 -

As long as you don’t forget your mask 🤣 & perhaps press the apron into service 😆 under your coat as it is rather chilly today 😉 - perhaps you would get away with it 🤣Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £379.00
