MrsSD you can have as many hugs as you like !! I don't mind hugging, but I don't like the double kissing malarky with acquaintances. I do miss hugs with my DD and DGC at the moment though
Air hugs are no substitute for real ones.
In the recycling today more cardboard from 2 parcels from Am**on. I think they must employ someone just to see how big a box they can get away with for the smallest itemTake care allnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
805-818: stuff from the fridge and a couple of freezer burned items.
819: another estate related item.
Thanks for the gold star! Not short of stuff to watch, I have yards of DVD's and blu rays...‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Well done bit_by_bit 👏 14 large items - earns you a Gold Star ⭐️ I met my DH in a pub 😆 & we chatted about cricket whilst drinking pints & smoking the same brand of ciggies (pre smoking ban 🙂) - almost 32 years ago & this year will be our 28th wedding anniversary. Like your DH, mine has the patience of a saint 😉
Thanks nannywindow 👏 hugs gratefully accepted. Double kissing is only for family 😉“In the recycling today more cardboard from 2 parcels from Am**on. I think they must employ someone just to see how big a box they can get away with for the smallest item
I fell off the sofa when I read this 🤣Good work short_bird 👏 Think, when you have watched them you can either sell or donate the Blu Rays/DVDs - that will be even more decluttering 😉BE KIND. I've been sorting out my paper clutter today and lots of unwanted stuff has gone into the recycling bin. I did buy a smart notebook a while back that I am using now to stop using so much paper.
The donation bag for the chazzer now has a hand bag, a jacket, a jumper, a denim shirt, a dress and two books. I'm probably dropping that off on Monday.

Wednesday - another lovely sunny day 🌞 but a few more clouds today. DH had the last burger in the last 2 buns for his lunch & I had a bowl of hm soup with a crust 🙂Our neighbour MrsT called round with a winter melon from her mum’s allotment - definitely smaller than last year’s offering 🙁 I reciprocated with a dozen hg tomatoes (584g). That takes the total picked so far as 5.686kg. Probably at least two more kg to come. I will be making a third type of tomato chutney. Later in the year DH & I will taste test & pick the best one (or maybe two) - I will then delete all the other recipes + hand write the chosen recipe/s in my recipe book. Dinner was ham, egg & oven chips for DH & DSis but only egg & oven chips for me.
Task of the day was the new project - area in front of the patio was prepped, weed suppressant put down & weighted with sharp sand. Two spare patio slabs laid - first time success - completely level 🥳. Area around & between the slabs filled in with decorative stone. Looks lovely 🙂 Also staked a couple of potato plants. Garden watered.Tomorrow’s task/s - move the Weigela from the back to the front garden to fill in a hole in the hedge, plant some bulbs, move the rosemary bush to its new home.1671 - 1676 Kitchen recycling, Uu relish bottle, 3 newspapers, drinks cans - Recycled
1677 - 1680 Kitchen detritus, 3 empty sand/stones sacks - Binned
Well done Ms_Green 👏 any piece of furniture out is a bonus 👏
Great work Wednesday2000 👏 paper clutter is the bane of our lives 😉 That is a pretty full chazzer bag 👏
Real life does have a habit of getting in the way of decluttering TC77 😉 but you have still managed to get stuff out & pennies in 👏 I will bet a pound to a penny that your tomatoes were delicious 🤤 I am not particularly green fingered but the benefit of having a south facing garden is that tomatoes appear to grow very well 😉.BE KIND. Decluttered four old radiators onto the front waiting for the scrap man to appear.
Some of DDs clothes that are the old size have gone to charity too. Only just worn too.

588. Finished my fixed term contract - back to working freelance from tomorrow !!!
Happy to be working freelance again - it's much easier to have down-time which I've realised is massively important to my sense of well-being... Feel like I'm in a bit of a liminal space at the moment with DS due to go to Uni next month so just plodding along with the day-to-day and helping him to prepare for his new adventure. Makes me wish I had a new adventure planned too.... but hey - time to think about that once he's gone...
589. broken glass
590. spruced up hat-stand - it looks very funky now I've painted it (surprising not chalk paint !!)
591. dead trainers ( I thanked them for their exceptionally good service!! )
592. dead phone case
593-7 - 5 x pieces of under sink detritus
598. scented candle to CS

Outs
Fridge sold on FB within 3 hours of posting - result! Freezer posted today so will wait with bated breath lol.
Bag of apples, rhubarb and some tomatoes given to next door neighbour
In
Weed burner for DH as he's fed up trying to dig them out from the patio and the drive, consolation is it takes up far less room than the fridge and freezer lol.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle9
