Tuesday started off hazy but quite warm. The sun finally managed to break through & raised the temperature but clouds ⛅️ kept the temperature in the low 20’s. DH went out on the motorbike (Round Britain Rally) Packed his picnic & left just after 9:00 a.m., returning just after 6:30 p.m. He had a great time & managed to get some fresh vegetables from a farm stall - complete with honesty box - potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, spring onions & a bottle of apple juice. DSis had a long soak in the bath. I finished re-knitting the baby bonding squares - I have 12 sets now. Watched a dozen episodes of Ghost Whisperer 😞 Also knocked up an hm soup which has been zizzed & taste tested & very tasty it is too 🤤 Nice animal story now - DSis walked up to the main road & saw 5 yes FIVE fox cubs - little bundles of fluff chasing each other around on the pavement adjacent to the 10 foot wide strip of wooded scrubland. Lots of undergrowth for the foxes to hide in.
Dinner was home cooked fish, oven chips & peas.
Wednesday is another cloudy day with the sun trying to break through but still warm with a pleasant breeze. DSis has gone out for her meds, DH has washed & is now polishing the motorbike. I am being lazy - again 😉

You are all putting me to shame but at the moment I have CBA’d Syndrome 😆 so not even managing to do my 4 mantras - numbers 1 & 4 have gone completely out the window 😩

Nicnak now that's decluttering to the extreme, an artex ceiling ....... love it !I read that the charity shops are going to be swamped when they open and may have to stop taking things through the doors quite quickly. But today I saw a " table top take away " which was mostly kids books, toys and games. Would work for any items I suppose. The green waste bins have been emptied so I have filled them up again and will have to wait for the bin men in 2 weeks time.We were lucky to catch the scrappy man this morning and he took both electric heaters. Yea !!Binned the plastic paddle end of one oar, it's twin is still in the shed, but the wood handle has been repurposed into the legs of a folding stool for the garden.Lots of packaging from fruit, either binned/ recycled as we had an online delivery this morning, although all types of wastage is still way down. Also in recycling a large empty plastic car oil bottle and 2 cardboard boxes for items we no longer have.MrsSD take a few days off and enjoy the good you are doing for all of us in cheering us on. I didn't know that was a syndrome, must remember that excuse !Keep up the deluttering allnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8

Thanks Nan,
I have seen quite a few table top take aways recently.
The artex ceiling had to go, it was such a messy thing that attracted dust, spiders webs, and just looked cluttered and untidy. I have three rooms left to go now. One is the spare room and the others are kitchen and living room. I did every room upstairs apart from the spare, hall, stairs and landing, downstairs toilet as well. The guy was supposed to give me a quote and so far he hasn't messaged. I think he had enough after doing the upstairs. Poor guy! He did an amazing job though. x

Thanks for the shiny star Mrs SD. I think your body and brain are telling you to have a pause. No stress. recharge your batteries and you will be at it again soon enough. I have whole months of CBAasd itis and don#'wworry about it any more.
I have been watering at the allotment today and took some more bits off a wooden frame that was once a swing seat;before my ownership. It now stands at the entrance of my allotment but needed attention. Luckily we have plenty of wood so bit by bit I am bringing parts home. DH is cutting them out and finessing them. In the end I will have virtually a whole new pergola for the price of a few coach bolts. I even have a tin of blue staining for it for when it is reconstructed. That was from a few years ago. A quick look at the interweb tells me a new one would be at least £100 and the size and strength of ours more like £200.
Today I have been working in the RoD and taken out two huge binliners of packaging (bubblewarp and envelopes) and two bin liners of carrier bags of all varieties that we have collected over the years. The thinner ones will be used for the CS but the others I will store neatly in a large sealed box in the garage and use them when the bags we use now get to worn out to use.
Also removed was another bag of CS clothes, and several more bags of books. I have a load of paper to clear: essays, research articles and guidlines. they are all out of date and so I am going to put them in the recycling. I also have stash of paper (backs of old letters) kept for writing on but seeing as I have two huge boxes full of notebooks I will recycle/shred that as well. I have found more stationary than I will ever need so need somewhere to take it or send most of it.
