Saturday DH & I spent some time in the garden - re-potted tomato, chard & parsley seedlings - very difficult as it was blowing a gale.
Dinner was cottage pie made with Bolognese sauce with added peas & slices of tomato & cheesy mash served with fresh carrots.Sunday was an overcast day with sunshine & 2 short heavy showers - unfortunately not enough to water the garden 🙁 DSis has been living with us exactly 2 years. Anniversary dinner was sausages, mash & plum tomatoes.Monday has been hot, hot, hot 🥵 All the too large bonding squares have been unpicked & I now only have 3 left to re-knit. Our 10 bags of compost & 4 bags of top soil arrived today from W*ckes then 2 hours later another W*ckes van turned up with our ndn’s compost - 🙄 DH went out to activate his new Oystercard on the DLR & posted some birthday cards. Way too hot to walk back so caught the bus. Nice chat with neighbours & their 2 lads who were out on their bikes heading off for a picnic. Donated another bag of hg lettuce to them.
Sprinkled & covered a packet of calendula seeds. DH watered garden & filled birds water bowls. Dinner was meatballs in an homemade tomato sauce with spaghetti.

Popping in to report some work on the Room of Doom. I have moved a small bookshelf and all the book on it out into my craft room. That is the last available space. Three bags of books to go into the garage for the CS when it opens. I have a lot smaller stash of books now, they are only a few hundred instead of a few thousand.
A few items given away to DS 2 and 3 and a few to post tomorrow. A bag of books and CDs to go to work and be distributed to various shelves at work after the virus has passed will go in the car tomorrow.
Take care and keep well everyone.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor.
