4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEBack again 😉 DH & I had a couple of hours of “Hunt the Axe” in the garage - we went through every crate/box, storage box, emptied every shelf, cleared all surfaces. Could we find the axe, could we b*gg*ry 😖 However, it did mean that we did quite a bit of decluttering. Whilst we were doing this the bird seed & peanuts in shells arrived. We also sorted out the 2 garden boxes & still no axe 😩 Plus we now have a decent supply of wood for the chiminea. My new slippers arrived & very warm they are too 😉
848 - 856 Three large cardboard boxes, glass jar, kitchen recycling, plastic tray & lid, 3 damaged recycling bags - Recycled
857 - 869 Bag of detritus (DSis), bag of kitchen detritus, 4 large plastic bags, large bag of garage detritus, polystyrene, 3 lots of damaged bubble wrap, pair of ruined slippers, oily plastic pot - Binned
870 - 881 Ten pieces of kitchen flooring, two plastic biscuit tins - Tip bag
Well done on the garden & shed decluttering, nannywindow 👏 If the weather is good tomorrow DH & I will be doing the same - we may even locate the ‘errant axe’ 😂
You are more than welcome TC77 🙂 I think a lot of us will be having garden parties when life returns to some normality 🤞 Well done on the decluttering & cleaning - an eclectic mix 👏 Thank heavens for the milkman - 6 eggs every Friday 🥳 I definitely approve of NOT keeping clothes for best - one medal 🏅 coming your way 👏 Steady progress towards your next gold star 😉
Nice to see you Holmefarm 👋 Excellent decluttering & repurposing 👏
Will be back later for the rest of the cheerleading as I need to make dinner - Late again 😞

Thank you Mrs SD - I do feel you're being very generous with your stars and medals which are appreciated!924 DD has just broken one of my large cornishware plates - she was washing up so accept one of those things (My score on breakages is high). I may get rid of the rest as only have a few odd plates and saucers (and egg cups which I'll keep). Have looked up other crockery and glass on ebay and may post at the weekend.925 pretty shabby chic storage bowl CS - think it had toiletries in itLove hearing how everyone is getting on, and the more rural planting and growing - yes I know you can do some in the big city but the urban foxes ate all my herbs years ago and not ventured their again.11

308-309: 2 feather cushion inners
310: Wok, non stick surface past its best
311: Another bin of paper recycling to go out
312: finally lagged the overflow pipe from the boiler, all stuff to complete the job was on hand... also deep cleaned that corner of the kitchen including vacuuming the coils at the back of the fridge.
313: Yet another money maintenance task off the list.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I overcooked the chicken in butter for DSis with boiled potatoes & carrots - she didn’t enjoy it & even Mrs Fox struggled 😞 DH & I had the lo rice, peas & smoked sausage made into a biryani - very tasty 😋
Back to cheerleading 😉
Good work StickyTheStickInsect 👏 stationery cupboards are notoriously difficult to sort 👍 So sorry to hear about your MiL - condolences to you & your DH.
Good work short_bird 👏 steady progress. Unfortunately the life maintenance always takes way longer than you think 🙁 you are definitely on a roll 👏
Excellent work greent 👏 Now you are just showing off greent 😉 I have to say I would have counted selling the caravan as at least 10 items 😉 - hope you got a decent price 🙂
Thoroughly deserved bit_by_bit 👏 Rather pleased that your DH is enjoying his gold star 🙂 I hope you were just topping up your tan, rather than working in the garden 😁
Thanks wort 😊
Good decluttering boultdj 👏 Shame about the mice 🙁 We have an understanding with our mice - the house is ours but they can live in one of the garden boxes & scrounge bird food + have access to the ground feeder 👍. Also I have to say that we have those special plugs which seem to have kept them out of the house 🤞
Gem-gem, I hope it was the boxes recycled not the sardines 😆
TC77, you are all doing so well & no gold stars are awarded without good reason 🙂Though I have to admit that I do like awarding them 🙂 The mention of egg cups has reminded me that I haven’t had a dippy egg & soldiers in an absolute age 😋 Any chance of growing a few herbs on your kitchen windowsill? It is always so nice to utilise something you have grown yourself 🙂
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 steady progress 👏

I’ve finally caught up with all the posts and feeling really motivated. I haven’t coped with wfh - my laptop is in the kitchen as DH is using the study, and this means I am constantly doing those ‘just jobs’ ‘just responding to emails’ etc. I only work part time but am allowing work to ‘creep’ until I feel guilty if I am not working.Have decided to have a work free day today and get the lounge cleared of the clutter that has accumulated because there is always tomorrow! Can’t believe how much I am looking forward to a day of housework / cooking. HM soups have been made by the gallon so maybe it’s time to branch out as I’ve given myself the gift of time today! I am though loving never having any wasted food - it all goes in the soup!!My main fear is whether I will be mentally ready to rejoin the world once the lockdown is over if I become too comfortable in my isolation! I guess seeing DGS will be the motivation- it physically hurts not to see him 😢.
Stay safe everyone
kind regards
