newlywed - do you have smaller supermarkets? I've a smaller sainsbury (not a local) and Iceland which are quite good for flour - I find eggs the most difficult.I looked at Ziffit and my books fetch about 10 - 20p so going to CS but have started to put a few things on ebay . I had thought you couldn't use it as freecycle has stopped. Two things sold but won't count til posted890 - 894 coloured glass plates to CS - difficult as I collect coloured glass but I have far too many.... cups and saucers on ebay.895 - 898 DD clothes washed and in CS bag.Not as much as I had hoped but some progress.11

Hi all,
So good to see all the work carrying on regardless.
Thanks for the reminder to update my signature MrSD. It has been done.
The last few weeks, when possible, I have been our in the garden, working or resting. My energy levels are not like pre chemo and despite all the activity, are limited. I know when I have overdone it. Overdoing it leads me to lower mood and energy levels and eating more.
Anyhoo, just really saying I need to be a bit more thoughtful about managing those energy levels v. activity.
This week I sold a coin on #bay and have just boxed a load of stuff up for Ziftit. I have a bit of a quandry sometimes with selling stuff to places like MusMagpie and Ziftit as I see the prices I can get if I sold it myself. I could sell this or that item myself and make the money, therefore hang on to whatever it is. This week I realised that if THEY take it I HAVE sold it and it can be gone. Besides, the difference is the effort put in to the selling and sending. If I paid myself an hourly rate I wouldn't make very much after the places like #bay take their profits
So that box will go with 16 or 17 items in and I WILL be happy with whatever they give me.
At home DH has been busy with a bit of woodwork. We had the kitchen replaced a few years ago and have that composite wooden worktop. I found a pile of off cuts in the garage when I cleared it out. He has made me a lovely side table and wood box store for firewood out of the bits, recycling is king. So I am counting that as one of the large items in my total.
I have done very little in the RoD. I was given 4 huge bags of clothes that DS3's girlfriend wanted to go to the charity shop but needed a wash having been stored for some time. Luckily I am not interested in them at all but they needed to get rid of them. I have washed, dried, sorted them into rags and season to donate now and they are waiting the CS. They are stored double bagged in the garage, I hope they retain that lovely fresh air smell that they got from being on the line.
Right. As it's raining, paperwork and houswork today, with breaks, and then I will be free on my days off to do what I want.
Keep well and stay safe everybody.

Slinks in shamefaced.
Still working and still not decluttering, head not in the right place, but sending rousing cheers to those of you who have kept going. I'm glad this thread is here because it's a reminder and it's also very positive to see your folks still getting on with it. And because the bits I've cleared have stayed cleared, which is a first for me.
In the words of Arnie, I'll be back! All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUESaturday stayed dry & sunny, but chillier than before the rainy days 🙁 I had a small burst of activity - 15 minutes garage tidying, 10 minutes tidying in dining room. DH filled bird feeders & DSis filled water bowls. DH went out on the motorbike to pick up a couple of headlamp bulbs from H*lf*rds also armed with a small grocery shopping list for A*di 😆
DH abandoned that idea when he got there - the queue at H*lf*rds snaked round & round the car park 😱 so altered his plan, rode to MrS - even managed to get some pasta - 2 x 1kg bags & 2 x 500g bags. I finished the 2nd baby blanket & started a 3rd. More TV, AB2 & knitting. By the way - 10kg rice & 16kg plain four ordered & delivered. We gave up trying to find either item in the sm 🙁 (apologies to newlywed 😞) Now I really do need to start baking 😉
827 - 830 Two cardboard boxes, kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging - Recycled
831 - 833 Plastic packaging, bag of kitchen detritus, bag of garage detritus - Binned
Great work elly68 👏 Good luck with finishing the kitchen decluttering 🙂 Excellent work on the bathroom - a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 👏 Fingers crossed 🤞 that all your seeds grow & provide a full harvest 🙂
Excellent work EnergyShifter 👏 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for setting up a new home office space & donating your old home office space to your DS. Seems to have made life easier all round 😉
Good work supersaver1000 👏You have been busy Sa1sysoo 👏 Over half way to your 700+ target so one Gold Star ⭐️ is on it’s way 🙂 Congrats on the change of job 🥳ailz95, I would say you kept your DH out of mischief with the pond project but he seems to have had several mishaps 😉 However it appears your DH was happy 😊 & you are happy (except for the expenditure 🙁) & a visitor already 👏 What an extremely generous offer re the yeast 😇Great work villagelife 👏 You should count your weed decluttering - perhaps every 10 minutes = one declutter 😉
newlywed, sorry you have been unable to get flour - could you trade/barter with a neighbour? Or maybe if there are 3 of you who want to bake, agree on type of flour & order a sack from t’internet 😉 - I do so love a focaccia 🤤Excellent progress TC77 👏 and a 🏅 is on its way for starting to release some of your coloured glass 😊How long did it take to dismantle the box Nicnak? 🙂 I have visions of you surrounded by cardboard & having to stop for a tea break before the task was completed 😉
Please take care bit_by_bit - where is the wagging finger emoji when you need it 🙁 I like the saga of the selling of items 😉 & how wonderful to have a light bulb 💡 moment 🙂 - I am too lazy to sell items 😞 so tend to donate to cs. Very impressed with your DH’s carpentry skills 👏 You definitely deserve a halo 😇 for washing, sorting & packing DS3’s gf’s clothes 👏 More importantly I am awarding you THREE Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - 13 bags, 3 large items & DH’s carpentry skills 😊
Elsien, Where is that wagging finger emoji (wfe) when I need it 🙁 You are lucky? enough to be working & that is very stressful in the current climate 🙁 You are being way too hard on yourself wfe I don’t think you realise how hard it is to keep the bits that you have cleared still clear 👏 - have you ever seen the Michelle Pfeiffer film ‘Dangerous Minds’ ?(about a teacher with ‘difficult’ students) - “anyone can get an ‘A’ but it is really hard to keep an ‘A’ “ so with that in mind I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️BE KIND. Ha ha! It took about 40 minutes. It was a well wrapped art picture box that had all sorts of special foam pieces stuck everywhere to protect the picture and wouldn't fit in the bin as it was. It was the thick one as well that couldn't be ripped and had to be cut. I was sweating by the time I had done it.
I went through my makeup drawer today. I don't have a lot of items anyway, but binned two mascaras. one eyebrow thing, and a couple of bobbles past their best. The mascara I have had since 2016 and was well in need of putting in the bin. I don't wear makeup every day and so it can often last me a long time. Will update signature later x
