2020 - banish the clutter

Thank you Mrs SD and Niknak.
Spurred by my gold star and it being too miserable to garden, I've gone through some clothes and have a bin bag full for when the chazzas reopen.
I have to confess that some of the "if I breathe deeply it'll be fine" ones went back in the wardrobe, but there were quite a lot of "never again" trousers that are never going to get much past my knees in a million years. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.10 -

TC77 said:newlywed - do you have smaller supermarkets? I've a smaller sainsbury (not a local) and Iceland which are quite good for flour - I find eggs the most difficult. We have a small co op but the staff don’t seem to know about the 2m rule and think it only applies outside the shop! They didn’t have any last time I went. All other small supermarkets are at least half hour walk away, so a bit of a trek without knowing if anything is there or not.I am moderate risk And meant to follow as much of shielding as I can, but can still exercise outdoors and but food if I have to, so getting fortnight deliveries mostly, plus mum is of a certain age so gets a different supermarket delivery and no flour there either. Will have to go to top up prepay gas and electric at some point though so will check then. Thanks though, might try Iceland. Have eggs as they come with my veg box, Supermarket delivery had them and can also get them with local green grocer delivery and local bakery too. Maybe it’s area, not many flour mills here but quite a few farms within 15 miles.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9

Spent a few hours this afternoon filing. I have an admin file where everything seems to go and its heaving at the seams. So I have gathered a huge box of paper that needs filing away but no room in the folder. I've now got three organised folders, one for DH, one for me and one just for joint household bills and accounts.
Lots of paper went into the recycling bin.
I still seem to have a few piles for a further sort out, but I've made a good start. Not sure how I managed to let it all get into such a state but I'm hoping that splitting it into three will make it a bit easier to keep straight in the future. And lots of stuff is now online so hopefully that will help. Where does all this paperwork come from?OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Newlywed Good luck trying to find flour and eggs at Iceland as I've been trying for weeks with them online and the large sm's too, all to no avail I'm afraid.Yesterday we decluttered another conifer tree and I've also filled 2 green waste bins, but there is still lots of green waste to go. Tomorrow I shall help DH decutter his shed again, I don't know where all the rubbish comes from !nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9

April update - 230 / 168 items
Overall + 38
Thank you for the cheerleading Mrs SD and the updates from everyone, it keeps me motivated when I'm feeling lazy 😀
The majority of the items this month were down to making two bug hotels and a compost bin out of odds and ends of wood stored in the garden. It was a good project for us all to get involved with.
Next month the aim is to sort through little baby items, DVDs and my craft stash...wish me luck I may not surface for some time 🤣
Hope you are all keeping safe and well xxx10
