Tuesday has been mainly dry - DH & I managed to avoid the rain 😁 when we went out on the motorbike. We met up with his niece & great niece for a wander around Ik*a in Greenwich. Picked up a few bits & pieces - not essential but I used money I won on the Premium Bonds 🙂 & we also had meatballs in gravy with mash + a dessert - surprisingly yummy 🤤 A very pleasant 4 hours from leaving home to getting back home. I was dreading going as not usually a fan of wandering around without a specific list but good company & no pressure to find anything, actually made for a pleasant experience. Picked up some frozen Swedish pancakes - DH & I quite liked them but DSis absolutely hated them. She cooked herself baked beans on toast.

Wow everyone, you've all been so busy! I didn't manage too much yesterday. I did buy some new towels, because the old ones are really tatty. I've bagged the old ones up to donate to my friend, she runs a dog grooming business so is always in need.
Also boxed up some sale stuff to go to the Post Office tomorrowI need to work on the airing cupboard soon, as there are a lot of bedding sets and curtains we no longer use.

I did something! I didn’t count them but emptied boxes and put away our recent accumulation of painkillers- hubb got knocked off his motorbike... he’s on the mend 😅12

Slow work here.A few bottles and jars used up and recycled from the bathroom; I'm not buying anything new there till I've used up the giant heap of stuff kind people gave me at Xmas. Not what I'd usually buy but it's good stuff and will cover bath shower hair and skin for a while yet.Small box of ornaments to chaz from kitchen/lounge.A teapot (I don't drink tea!) and a pair of too small jeans sold on fb.Another trawl through wardrobe and 3 clothing items and about 15 hangers out to chaz. I'm keeping going but it's demoralising seeing so little progress.Magnolia Stellata14

Stellata Sometimes things get worse before they get better And sometimes, when some stuff has gone, it's easier to work on the next lot because you can see each item in more detail - and make a faster decision - when there's less round it. But I think everybody on here has phases where it's more difficult to even make a decision, never mind get rid.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

This new forum is ‘doing my head in’! I’ve been searching for my last post to get my running total and can’t find it 🤬 the last number I wrote down was 357 so I’ll go with that but still...... what a pain!!
DD came this morning to help with second culling from my wardrobe- I am DH’s declutter buddy but he is no good at being mine! I find it’s really helpful to have some encouragement!! DMum came at one point but was declared as a rubbish cheerleader!!!Here goes the numbers from a very good decluttering day started by a very productive hour or so with my ‘buddy’
358-400 clothes from my wardrobe to CS
401-426 household items inc lamp shades and kitchen ‘stuff’ to CS
427-435 scarves and hats to CS
436 - 450 footwear to CS
451-455 handbags and Overnight bags to CS
456-458 underwear binned
459-461 grim footwear binned
DH has agreed to take it to CS early on Saturday morning before continuing with his seven garage items.
really appreciating a clearer house with room to hang clothes in the wardrobe and to get them out ready to wear instead of ready to re-iron 😊
Thankyou for keeping me enthused fellow declutterers

Hi everyone,
Had a couple of days where I haven't updated
7 glass jars to the ex for spices
1 ebay item.
Not sure of my total, will look again.
Tomorrow I have 9 glass jars to the C/S and a lady is collecting all of the wool that I don't want. I need to sort it tonight, but there will be probably around 13 balls that I won't be needing or using.
Will update signature and total tomorrow. x
