Hello fellow declutterers.I've just made it back from an expedition to DH's shed of doom ! In 2 hours we cleared 3 bags of rubbish, an electric heater, tons of sawdust, all binned , cobwebs aplenty hoovered up ( they made me shudder as I hate spiders ) , sorted out the wood / metal piles and put down some poison for some 4 legged visitors. Either they are R.A.T.S. or just very overweight field mice
But whatever they are, they haven't paid any rent, so they will be evicted tout suite ! There is still a large oil fired radiator up there ready for the tip, but our weather ( rain, rain and more rain ) has been of epic proportions and many roads around are still awash, so we will have to wait a while to get to the dump. The recycling boxes have been filled with about 20-30different jars, tins and empty plastic containers
( I hope that's the shocked smilie ). But I must give him a star for his effort today, although I think there's a lot more that can go, but slowly, slowly does it.
I watched an episode of a Hoarders programme yesterday and I'm now on a mission to get rid of stuff although I'm nowhere in that league, but tomorrow I shall report back as I have to address an avalanche of caravan stuff that I caused on Friday evening. I pulled out a sleeping bag as DGD stayed overnight and we were camping in the spare bedroom ( as you do
) but it had a knock on effect with lots of other stuff. Good job I moved back or I could still be underneath it ! But I bet there's something in there that we no longer need/use.
Keep up the good work all.nan

Had a bit of a stagnant day yesterday declutter wise, but just spent a bit of time sorting out the undersink cupboard where I keep all my cleaning stuff, and the dog's cupboard where his food and paraphernalia are kept.
As it happened, there was an awful lot of car products had worked their way in from the utility room... not sure how or why, but they have been put back where they belong. Binned some empty boxes and bottles and some of younger child's old paints that I'm sure haven't been out of that cupboard since we moved here nearly 5 years ago.
Both cupboards are now looking wonderful, although I did ponder what my life had become as I sat on my kitchen floor "KonMarie" third-folding teatowels to store and thanking the old ones that no longer serve a purpose.
Also my friend stopped by to pick up some of the comic books I sold them, so they have now gone from my life! I'm really enjoying this process, I usually hate getting rid of stuff but I'm finding that I'm really excited to remove things from my life that no longer serve a purpose and have no sentimental value.Debt Free Journey started 21.05.201711 -
I’m back. I don’t know if it was a problem with the site or my tablet but I’ve struggled to open this website for weeks. Progress has slowed here but I don’t want to give up. A few busy weekends have made me unable to fit in a visit to the charity shop to drop off more bags but I will need to happen this weekend. When bags are ready to go I put them by my front door and it’s getting very crowded now.
I’m now going to catch up on all the posts I’ve missed.12 -

Only managed to get rid of an old work bag this weekend; not very impressive.
Whizzes out again. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Had a day off but not much decluttering....
made Produce bags from an old net curtain (with help), cut up an old torn donated double sheet to use instead of kitchen roll. Both projects have been hanging around way too long so feels good that are done.
the pillow to cushions was unsuccessful so one dissected pillow has been decluttered to the bin.Decluttered the fridge contents (a few forgotten items were lurking!)
and then did the food shop.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?8 -

Weather here has been wet and wild (thankfully no white stuff) so managed a productive day - worked my way through 12 drawers of craft stuff
4 x small canvasses & large bag of crafty bits - Freegle
Box of buttons and ribbons - to friend
Eb*y parcel - posted (recycled packaging)
32 cards made (lots of craft stuff used)
Few bits listed for sale on FB (and renewed other posts)
Pedicure kit - to DD
4 x Pedicure kits - CS
Lots of paper, scraps, random bits & pieces - Recycling or Bin
Lots of emails read, deleted and unsubscribed from
Doesn't seem much but has made a real difference. Keep up the great work everyone.
