MrsD - aww thanks, love to repurpose because I can't afford to keep purchasing.............err yeah it really IS that bad lol, nearly every ex that has lived here has left something behind, and now the kids, and the grandkid now has bits and bobs here too for when he stays lmao. It's never too late... there is also room for refs and non skating officials too
Definitely get in touch with your local league
As for decluttering, Managed to send my old fur coat off to a friend today. I was gifted it 20 years ago when an old lady asked me to look after it, so I couldn't bring myself to just bin it... but nobody really wears rabbit fur anymore. Thankfully I found it a home!
I also found a little dachshund keyring and my other friend is obsessed so I have posted it to her today too

Down at my dad's and going to take some of his things to the dump
Been offered my mum's fridge magnet collection ( she died 10 years ago,). Taking 3 and rest to cs and one in the bin.

Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x11 -
Unfortunately a new soft toy has appeared! Took box of spectacles, fridge magnets to cs for my dad along with box of jars and bottles not collected due to floods and 3 bags of textiles and shoes/ slippers. Not counting as I succumbed to some coloured glass in cs - lovely amber jug and some plates ( grey glass) but will thin out others at some point! Some proper decluttering now home.
Stay safe from the continuing rain -12 -
One bag of clothes and shoes that weren’t good enough to go to the charity shop, went out for the textile collection with our bins yesterday. Bag number 11/52.2025 Decluttering Campaign Mrs SD –The joy of decluttering 45.5/104⭐️

Hi there
i‘ve been mia for a bit - lost momentum after a great start but today looked back on what we’ve achieved. DH and DSiL took 25 items to the tip from the garage so DH is keeping ahead of his challenge of 7 items a week (having missed a week through storm Ciara making it really unpleasant to be outside).
I’m plodding through and now have two empty kitchen cupboards after sorting herbs, spices and condiments plus grocery cupboards and reducing the space needed by each to discourage further purchases.
lots of bits and bobs sorted for CS (am concerned that they are going to be fed up with us soon!!) and a ‘no buy’ policy is in place for clothes, shoes etc. Only considered purchases allowed! 🤞 it works this time (not my first attempt ☹️).Happy to be a founder member of the clumsy club but don’t recommend the entry requirements!!Thanks for the inspiration fellow declutterers

321 - 325 counting groups of things I took to cs from my dad's as otherwise would have ended up on mine. Still have some of his things in my car boot from Xmas for salvation army! Will do this weekendHome and tackled some old school magazines of DDs and cut out a couple of articles in case I ever do a scrap book326- 328 3 school magazines recycled329 work related publication recycled330 Cross puzzle book unused in CS bag331 saucepan not recoverable from cooking binned. Also grouping other things to sort through. And putting all lined paper/notebooks together.332 Returned jacket to shop (bought 2 and kept one which replaces another one given away).Hoping to tackle more paperwork over the weekend, and possibly some craft things or makeup/jewellery but difficult to accept I'm that person who won't wear that makeup/jewellery or make those things. It does help reading about others parting with difficult things, and more likely to find the things I will use, or make space for something else!11

1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS”
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S?
Dry day but have done absolutely zilch apart from watch TV & knit. DH made a wonderful cheese sauce which we had with fresh tagliatelle - it was scrumptious 😋
410 - 411 Newspaper, cardboard packaging, cardboard box - Recycled
412 - 413 Plastic packaging, bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
Oh well Nicnak - I will just have to set my clutter out myself 😂 Great Decluttering work Nicnak 👏
Excellent work greent 👏
Good luck with the card making nannywindow 😉
You have been busy Wednesday2000 👏
TC77 your DD2 seems to be a champion soft toy declutterer 👏 Ooh I do love a fridge magnet 😉 I think one new soft toy can be forgiven especially with the amount of decluttering you have done 👏 Jewellery is the one thing I love to keep but rarely wear apart from my 57 year old earrings & my wedding, engagement & eternity rings. Don’t have any problem with make up - I binned the lot & replaced with a foundation, an eyeshadow palette, a mascara & 2 lipsticks - yet to wear any of it in the 4 months since I treated myself 🤭
Hope you do go & watch the roller derby savvy 🙂 Re the exes stuff, is it possible to give them a time limit to pick up & if no joy then donate/bin/give away as appropriate? Sorry that you ‘have’ to repurpose but I have to say it sounds like you enjoy doing it& are doing your bit to save the planet 👏
Always nice to get money back short_bird 🙂
Ooh, FoxFace, I always aspired to a real fur coat - just for the feel of it 😊 but really I would never have worn it 😆 So happy that you have found a good home for it 👏
Well done StickyTheStickInsect 👏
Excellent decluttering Gem-gem 👏
Good work newlywed 👏
Excellent work RepentHoarder 👏 & MrRH. I hope you keep opening the kitchen cupboards to admire your handiwork 😆 It is always nice to look back at your successes, gives you the encouragement to continue 🙂
See you all later.
