A few more bits from us last night
- some computer CD's which are no longer any use.
- Some more paperwork for shredding
- a Concert programme and a few bits of queen memorabilia > CS bag
- a fair few random items which we looked at and thought "why did we keep that" or in one case "what on earth IS that?" > either CS bag or rubbish
- a brand new and unused electricity monitor > CS bag
2 lever arch files full of saved photography magazine articles have been relocated to the front room for me to review and get shot of anything no longer useful.
And a few bits that were in the cupboard we started looking at last night have been relocated to the correct cupboard so we might actually remember we have them.
We had to stop with the cupboard after that lot as it's a deep, high one, and without the steps MrEH can't reach back any further. The steps are currently in the boot of my car (long story - photography related) which is in the garage, and MrEH's car was parked in front of the garage. Nope, you guess correctly, I could NOT be bothered to move his car to get to mine!
We're off to visit his parents for the weekend so my challenge now will be to prevent his Dad encouraging him to return with the usual armful of books - they've been trying to declutter as well and previously this ploy has proved successful!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ahhh I have two RODs too.....and a Car of Doom and 2 Sheds of Doom and an attic of Doom!! Son's have not moved all their stuff out, nor has the ex, so left to me to sort as I'm the one left living and working in it now! One room I want as a craft/guest room, the other as a gym area. Last weekend I managed to get in the gym room and extract some old kids brightly coloured stacking drawers, packed up the 6 drawers into 2 medium boxes for lil son to take out of my house at last!!! There was tons of things in there but no time to count it all, so I'm going to guesstimate 250 items. Those drawers got a clean, removed most of the Harry Potter stickers, and now being used in my dog den for my daycare doggy things - absolutely PERFECT and actually being used again.Have also repurposed the old waste bin that used to house ex's dirty washing (electricians get filthy so his stuff was washed seperately!) that I found housing MORE of his stuff in a wardrobe, that is now being used as a second dog feed bin for the home boarding doggies, so much better and matches the drawers too. Also extracted a few things that were dumped in the dog den like FIVE shower heads!! So going to add a total of 266 items.454/2020

Currently in the midst of a declutter and checking in on my 10 minute break
I'm loving being in this thread because I just know it will keep me motivated once I get bored in a week or two
Today I listed up some old skate parts (I play roller derby) and they sold pretty much straight away. Also listed some old comic books and graphic novels and they are getting snapped up alreadyI have a small charity collection starting and am up to 5 bags of rubbish now!
My main issue is stationery. I have tons of it, mostly half used notebooks and random pens. I'm not really sure what to do with them as I can't give them to a charity shop half used. But I don't want to throw a bunch of paper out either. Any tips would be much appreciatedDebt Free Journey started 21.05.201714 -
Half used stationery. Ask your local library if they can make use of them. They often run craft groups for kids etc and finding suitable stationery materials is expensive when money is tight.14

9 books dropped off after being sold. = 1708. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Day 51
- Several out of date items from DS1 bathroom cabinet (I will also be decluttering the cabinet at the weekend to the tip)
- 2 washbags CS bag
- 1 broken Nintendo DS to bin
- 2 sign decoration things that have been hanging about the coat cupboard for year to CS
- Several no longer used cleaning items emptied and containers to recycling
I also have 4 golf polo's that will go on ebay. That leaves me with 2 which is more than enough for my token 2 rounds of golf per summer! But I'll only count these when they've gone.
