Some cables out to get rid of and some socks paired. Hopefully some things out tomorrow .13 -
Another two bags sorted out, one for the charity shop and one for DS2’s, soon to be, nursery. DS2 has a fabulous party, thank you Mrs SD, and as predicted enjoyed the packaging almost as much as the contents !!2025 Decluttering Campaign Mrs SD –The joy of decluttering 45.5/104⭐️

1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS”
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT

Monday had a bright & sunny start & although it clouded over a bit the day was dry apart from a couple of very light showers. No decluttering but I did a thorough clean of the smaller of my two ovens including removing the inner glass door & scrubbing off every last bit of grease + cleaning the oven shelf until it looked like new - hard work 😓 but worth it 😁 I admire it every time I go in & out of the kitchen 😂 The only downside is that I now have the large oven to clean + 2 oven shelves ☹️ Also did some more knitting. Dinner was lo pasta bolognese with extra Parmesan, baked in the oven for DH & I. DSis made herself a salad.

Ooh a gold ⭐ - thank you MrsSD!
I vaguely recall reading that the best way to clean oven shelves is to stick them in the bath with biological washing powder - allegedly the grease just wipes off then? Clearly I've not tried this myself though - I swear my oven is meant to be self-cleaning, so as far as I'm concerned it can just get on with it and not bother me!
A couple of books found their way to the CS bag last night courtesy of MrEH deciding that he didn't want them any more - and as a result a bookshelf has been tidied up. No shredding brought to work today as my boss was giving the (nearly full!) shredder bucket a curious look yesterday and I don't want to push my luck, much as I'm sure they won't mind in the least. I have however engineered a MASSIVE shredding session of old paperwork in the office so bringing more of ours in now becomes far simpler! Feels rather good to have brought my decluttering mojo to work with me as well!
MrEH has now agreed quite cheerfully that the next target for clearing is the massive cupboard in the spare room - I know full well that there are some boxes up there from photographic equipment that is now deceased so they will definitely be able to go - and they take up a fair bit of space too. My hope is that I can eventually relocate a whole load of photo albums up there - Stuff that I don't want to get rid of (photos are one thing that I can seriously imagine regretting bitterly getting rid of) but that I won't look at often. That in turn would increase spare space on the shelves... I *might* even be able to persuade himself that the old Good Beer Guides can go up there...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
