Hello fellow declutterers, I have just read back a couple of pages but I can't remember anything ! Apologies to all. I think I must have decluttered my brain somewhere along the wayAnyway we are stuck indoors thanks to storm Jorge, so I have started on a small cupboard in the bedroom. Success ! a whole bin bag to the cs containing Halloween stuff ........ plastic trays and a spider bowl, hats, wigs, masks, a string of skeletons lights, rats, spiders, witches fingers and eyeballs etc. Also new leftover paper plates, bowls, straws and serviettes . 2 never used plastic buckets for collecting sweets, have been earmarked for DH's shed and a cardboard box containing shredded paper, which was used for a lucky dip, is ready to go into the recycling.... if it ever stops raining ! I also decided to send some Easter stuff to the cs, a pin the tail on the rabbit game, cookie cutters and about 40 small plastic eggs and rabbits ! I have been using these items for parties with DD and family for the past few years, however our DGS has informed me that he is too old to participate in childish games anymore ( he's 10 and our DGD is 8
). I think neither are too old to have an Easter egg and money though
DH is sorting out a drawer and has found one item to bin, everything else apparently he "really needs". Oh well back to the drawing board with his training thenKeep up the good work everyone.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Evening all,
I gave away 8 glass items to the CS today. A lady at work's mum works in a charity shop so is always asking for items so took them into work.
Not sure what my total is. Not really good at keeping count. It is really slowing down now though. x

Day 58
I tackled our collection of carrier bags this evening. It would seem that the 5p charge has either not been noticed by Mrs SJ, or she's taken it on as a challenge!
- 3 bags worth of carrier bags stuffed inside one another ready for recycle point tomorrow.
Day 59
My challenge for this afternoon was the cupboard under the stairs and the excessive accumulation of coats!
- 4 coat to friends donation bag
- 1 pair of kids boots to friends donation bag
- 1 hoody to friends donation bag
- 7 coats to CS bag
- 1 scarf to CS bag
- 1 jumper to CS bag
- 3 golf shirts listed on ebay
* I also dropped off the 3 bags worth of friends donations for their twins, and the electric trike, so a good amount of things have left the house. The CS bag will be deposited on Monday as I'm doing my best to take them as soon as they are full.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......10 -
Wow, so impressed by everyone - I still open a drawer or cupboard and remove one or two things but it looks as if people are truly blitzing their homes. Next few days is preparing paperwork for ombudsman (stuff that's been going on for about 18 months) so lots of scanning and writing up what's happened - daunting but maybe able to get rid of some papers!366- 367 non related papers binned368 - 372 tops given to DD1 as too small for me.Have put some fabric aside to take to charity tomorrow and will try and blitz and be inspired! and get papers together as spread everywhere - may count each surface where I clear them up (sofa/floor/table/printer etc).Happy decluttering all, another weekend for staying in I think !10
