Everyone on here offering advice makes an assumption to a certain level of aptitude from the OP's and all the advice I, and others gave "would" have resolved your issue had it been carried out "correctly"

I've never seen someone with as many PC issues as yourself...I imagine most of them are self induced
Take it to a shop and let someone who knows what they're doing fix it..

That is not MSE paying through the nose to some repair shop

You've been advised multiple times on your various threads over the last few months how to deal with this, that and the other. You either ignore the resolutions given because they're not what you want to hear or come up with various obscure "issues" that nobody else has ever seen, can't provide a solution for (short of wiping which you don't want to do) and then you have the audacity to complain that you get no help.

If you have seriously been "dealing with and repairing computers for years" then you would have been able to fix everything you've posted about computer wise yourself, or have been able to take logical stabs at a resolution yourself. It's obvious your installation is stuffed. The installation on your other computer that you keep posting about is also clearly stuffed. They both need rebuilding. That should have been obvious when you are unable to switch user accounts.

I suppose the next thing you're going to tell us is you have no provision for any backups and that's why you don't want to "wipe" this machine. That's not a good omen for somebody who claims to have been "repairing" computers for years not to have any form of backup strategy , even if it's only onto a USB stick - itself better than nothing but not ideal long-term.

It might not be the MSE way but realistically you can spend all day faffing around with something and the computer shop will probably get it done the next day for you. Yes it might cost £40 or whatever, but when you consider the amount of time you've poured into those computers and they're still not working properly, you really should just admit defeat.

But you see the Profile Manager, right? No I can not see anything on the affected computer

So... what happens? Are you returned to the prompt? Is the cursor still flashing? Does the cursor disappear indicating the command is running but not completing?

Do you see "firefox.exe" appear in the Task List when you do this?
