Same happend to me .
Only solution full delete of Firefox and all Folders on C drive .
But first save profile as per Firefox help page .
Install clean copy .
Then copy over what you need out of saved profiles bookmarks etc ..
Problem could be linked to malwarebytes .
Please note thats could not is .0 -
It may be a problem with your Firefox profile.
You could try opening a command prompt, and running the "firefox -P" to open the Profile Manager, then create a new profile.
If that works, you could then copy across your bookmarks, cookies, etc.0 -

Thank you - I think so but I will try again0 -
I am afraid to say neither of those suggestions worked
Any other ideas anyone?0 -
Create a new User Account (in Windows, not Firefox). You can delete it later. Create one by typing "add, edit or remove other users" into the Cortana search banner, a local account will do.
Try Firefox in that. If it works, your original account is damaged.0 -
Also was mozilla.exe the correct file to delete as I could not find anything saying instalation?
No -- firefox.exe is the executable file.
But you can't uninstall Firefox just by deleting the executable. The problem is more likely to be caused by other files, settings, registry entries, add-ons, etc. You need to uninstall via the Control Panel "Programs/Features" applet.0
