Opened my first account on Saturday and second this morning. No problems!
Looking to use these for regular standing orders in place of my two TSB accounts when they drop the rate in December.
Just watch Virgin Money drop the rate now!

Yes, it's possible but beware!  My partner and I both opened a sole account each and a joint account on the same day back in May.  And then regretted it!
The debit cards and the PIN numbers all arrived on the same day and, because the letter with the PIN carries only the name of the account holder, it's impossible to know which PIN belongs to which debit card (until you try each in an ATM).

Aha... So it's a new "modern" account and they still send PIN in letters?
Modern banks let you create your own PIN during account application, so you remember it easier and you don't need to wait for another letter.

Which modern banks do this?  My recent applications have used the postal service to send PINs

Starling let you select your own PIN when you apply for the account.

I received my debit card for the Virgin current account today.
I 'm surprised to see that all of the details regarding the account are on the same side of the card.
Signature space &  3 figure number
    16 figure card number
    date from & Date to
    My account Name
    My account number.
I've never had a card before with the 16 figure card number & the 3 figure security number on the same side.
Strikes me as a security weakness

All the modern cards are like that (Starling, Monzo, Curve, the new TSB one etc).

Why do you think that?  With the old style cards any thief only had to turn the card over to see all the details anyway.

Cameras (or people with good eyesight and memory) can capture the details from one side of the card, allowing online use without stealing the card with these modern cards, but not with the older ones with the CVV on the reverse.
