I nearly said morning, then I realised it's the afternoon. Working from home has really messed up my body clock!
Anyway, #86 here. My regular saver money became available to me this morning so that's another £3700 paid off taking my total to £6433.50 for April.
Thanks Julicorn!

Popping in to update - something that I haven't done for while! I'm missing the notifications I used to get on the old forum - they kept me up to date and regularly checking in.
We've had to tone down our overpaying plans until we know exactly how much we have coming in - DH has been furloughed and I am self employed (and unable to claim anything). I'm still hopeful we will be mortgage free ina couple of months time.
Anyway, overpayments:
March £308.97
April £100

Bizzywizard said:Hello Julicorn,
I'm a newbie, please can you allocate me a number? Many thanks in advance.
I have been clearing my husbands credit cards and switching to my 0% cards for the last year and will be cleared by this December. I have become little bored of that....so my/our new challenge is overpaying our mortgage. I have started small so just added £42 onto the direct debit and have not missed the extra money. Therefore I have paid £42 each month since February, March & April £126.00 in total. I have also just discovered that I can send an extra over-payment so have sent and extra £5 to make sure it works...it will appear tomorrow, hopefully! Once I know this works I will then send more. I have sat calculating all day, so will look to overpay by £1775.00 spread over till December. Not a large amount I know, I just need to get rid the credit cards as a priority!
Mortgage as of today £109,115.14 My mortgage runs Mid April to Mid April. My deal is with Halifax @2.39% fixed repayment to April 2023.
Good luck everyone and stay safe!3 -
