  • Many thanks Juicorn!
So my extra £5 arrived in the mortgage account after 2 days! So as of next month, myself and DH will finally be to overpay. January next year will be far larger sums.

    Jan: £550
    Feb: £550
    Mar: £550
Apr: £15050 As a result of a glut of banks dropping their interest by far, far more than the reduction of the base rate, decided to have a clear out

  • Morning.
Stuck another £10 on to the mortgage yesterday. Just wanted cheering up again and have saved money on not drinking alcohol since lockdown. Brings total up to £61.58 for April.
    Thanks so much Julicorn.

#20 so decided free money (Prolific and Spanish Bank Cash back) will go in mortgage account - even if not having a 0 at the end makes me feel very uneasy.  So on top of the £67.17 already paid for April I have an extra £22.22 bring total for April to £89.39
I'm afraid I would have to add 61p or buy chocolate with £9.39, or round the total in my mortgage account to a round £(nn)n,nn0.00
No your right I can't do it - annoyed that Spanish bank has a minimum £10 charge though (but my free cashback from Spanishbank has hit) and that along with my PiggyBank change from Monzo would allow me to get it down to a 00 (however a number ending nnn,n50.00 looked better than a nnn,n60.00 so now need to find an extra free £5 and a few pence to make it up) but lesson learnt always end in 0.00 as it definitely makes me feel better (I was so excited the other day when I managed to get all my pots and current account in Monzo to all end in 0s)

So thats another 27.78 for April
@julicorn bringing total to £117.17 (thank you)
