Collected order from Arg*s
Swagbucks (easy SWAGO board available)
Purged a few emails
Entered a few comps
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
Checked: Lucky Bob, PMP, WinaDinner

Morning all :hello:
My list for today:
Reconcile just for points credit card
Check banking
Get insurance quote - chase letter I need for this
Call and get some info I need and then e mail it somewhere else
Call and ask about how I make a claim on a policy I have
Do a meal plan, have lots in so shouldn’t be too tricky- using up freezer space before Christmas would be good.
Washing shuffle on radiators
Friend taking me somewhere later, will save me fuel and I’m most appreciative. Will treat them to a cuppa.
Need to try and get my tablet working. Loosing the will with it. Already spent best part of an hour on an online help with them.
That’ll do for today folks. Purps.0 -

Morning all!
Ziggy - I hope your mum improves xx
I can't believe I've been awake since 6 but only managed to tear myself out of bed at 8.15
Weather here today is shocking so it's a good job we were planning to stay in. Plus OH has woken up with a sore throat (and looks very sorry for himself)
There are some things to do today:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores - done
:heartpuls Washing onto rads - done
:heartpuls Dehumidifier booked to be delivered! - it's here!
:heartpuls Car into garage for scheduled service (garage only round the corner) - OH back already - apparently service not needed tyil Feb?!
:heartpuls Dust 2 rooms (dusting is my nemesis. It is so tedious)
:heartpuls Poss list suit on ebay now that I have found the trousers that match the jacket
:heartpuls Look at free veg planner software. I have signed up to one, I just want to see if I think it will be useful - done
:heartpuls End of month budget sheet - done
:heartpuls Heating on low to keep house dry - done
:heartpuls Might finish my niece's Christmas socks, although not sure if she deserves them at the moment as she got into a fight at school and might get expelled. From what I understand it doesn't really seem bad enough to expel her - suspension yes, but no one is badly injured. Still perhaps they are tougher on these things now. - working on sock... but she has been expelled - and turns out quite rightly so
:heartpuls Messaged npower about my smart meter losing network. Turns out that My smart meter stopped sending them readings in July! Not sure why they didn't send me a letter or something but apparently they need to be replaced - booked in
Have a good one all

Try to wrap some more of Himself's presents (only managed a few yesterday before he started investigating what I was up to).
Chop any remaining vegetables and freeze.
Let the neighbours know I'm away for two weeks from Saturday.
Make a final list to make sure I haven't forgotten anything.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Morning all

Ziggy, hope your Mum is soon better
Toni's friend, have a lovely holiday
CLF, dusting is my nemesis too
:wave:Hello to everyone else
Today's list:
Continuing with the declutter from hell - I have pulled out everything from the loft and garage over the last few days, and am freecyling loads. I have 3 people expected today, hope they turn up! Two have been so far, and I have got rid of loads :j including the item that wasn't collected yesterday. They didn't turn up and didn't let me know so I gave itto someone else. Just one more item to go now, and fingers crossed, it should be shortly. I will be doing this again - very therapeutic!
All gone now :j
OH is engaged in a big project in his workshop so is out of the way for most of the day
He is still there, will let him in for dinner soon though :rotfl:
He has tidied up an old wooden folding cake stand for me though, which can now go to my sales unit as it looks really nice
He has also restored a chopping board and a chair for DS's gf. They belonged to her Mum, who died when she was a teenager, so very sentimental to her. They were really broken too, but he has done a really good job. The chopping board looks like new. The chair isn't like new, as it is an antique but no longer has a broken leg, lots of woodworm and some bits missing. Beats hanging around indoors asking me daft questions :rotfl:
Other than getting rid of carp, I have / will:
Had home grown fruit from the freezer for breakfast instead of bought fruit Done
Sold an ebay item Need to pack this ready to post
Load of washing out on the line as it isn't raining for once! And another load in the machine. It will need finishing off on the airer later, realistically. Got it in, will put on airer in a minute. Decided to re-wash my old coat as i wasn't happy with how it came out. Might be time to scour the charity shops for a 'new' one :rotfl:
Lots of bits and pieces in the fridge for lunch We finished off the soup I made a couple of days ago
I will make a beef stew for dinner In the oven!
And put the spare bedroom back together once all the freecycle stuff has (hopefully) gone! That is this evening's entertainment... Just wrestled with the travel cot of doom, which always gets us both in a bad mood  Managed to get it collapsed and put away for now. Another year and GS won't need it any more, then that can go as well! Had enough now!!
Must also ring DD2 and remind her to bring her futon thing round for my brother to sleep on after his works do  I wasn't delighted about this, but he did ask before DD asked me to have GD stay over at the weekend. He can have the futon in the dining room as GD will be in the spare room, and me with her, no doubt.

Ziggy, I hope your mum is improving.
Todays list
Kids breakfast - scrambled eggs on ys crusts for toast as part of operation use what we have first! done
2 classes and refill water bottle at the gym done
Brunch for me, a quick and easy cheese omelette with some blitzed spinach & nuts of the side-yummy and made a big one so enough omelette for me to have tomorrow brunch time too
Check banking done /pay for ds2s guitar lesson done / update spreadsheet done / see if dh's payslip is available online yet done
Make something using up some bananas on the turn, this was on my list on Tuesday!
Decant some carton milk into the empty plastic milk bottle as ds2 doesn't like the carton stuff (but we've finished the milk and I could manage without the shops til tomorrow if I try this! Might not work but worth a try as I always have some carton stuff in the garage as a back up) done
Check heated airer, if all dry put away done and do the bits that need ironing (just dh's work shirts usually everything else dries "flat enough" ) done
Continue writing shopping list (remember coconut milk) done
Decide on what's for tea.... whatever it is revolves around a Tupperware of diced cooked chicken that I took out to make space in the freezer - maybe chicken/chickpea curry
Do some surveys
[STRIKE]
rm survey[/STRIKE]
Continue decluttering - even just a drawer tidied helps keep us on track.
Set up a new folder for kids computer warranties/ receipts to be kept for safe storage
Book dh's dentist appointment online - much quicker then trying to ring and book (DNMS - mines been changed from December to Jan and I aren't complaining! ) done
:heartpuls Checked out dh's works cashback page and ordered some gift cards for places we'll use over the next few months and a couple of (14% cb) costa card which my mum will be pleased with, she doesn't want gifts that add clutter to her life so she'll enjoy this.
Ring specsavers as I think ds1 is due a check up. done
Plenty there to be cracking on with!
Have a good day all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Afternoon. Today has already been a big spend day! Christmas!
-bought OH Xmas gift. It's 'from' our DD, so will make a contribution from her on it, as it's a big expense. We don't do much on gifts usually so my blood pressure was through the roof as I clicked BUY! But I got £16 off for black friday etc.
-checked salary paid
-divided up the month with all the expenses I know are going out
-divided what's left by weeks left in month.
That's a big first for me as I usually don't budget at all once the DDs standing orders have gone out.
-lunch at home
-work from home so no fuel
-dinner from stores
-heating is OFF
-planning Xmas gifts and remembering to factor in the postage! I sent as much on postage as on gifts, trying to think of lightweight but nice gifts is a nightmare! No family nearby so all must be sent.
-planning weekend activities. Xmas food marketmostly for a walk around; garden centre for walk around and gifts. Must resist lunch at garden centre since it's delicious but £££
-am about to treat myself to lunchtime latte out. Just need to get away from desk for a bit. Think I need a coffee budget, so I can still have small escapes whilst staying in planned spend.
Any thoughts? I spend too much on coffee, but it's my only me time. It's not the drink really, it's the escape. What do other people do to get away from it all for an hour?PEAK Dec 2019: £24,273 -- NOW Virgin £2377 Markses £681 Halifax £6143 Loan £6696 Family loan £5819 TOTAL: £21,706 -- Paid off: £2308. Target: Jan 2023 LBM: monthly pay but weekly spend doh
December 2020 target = £18212 and nothing added to CCs AND by paying an extra 20 a month on something I just knocked 8 months off my target date :-)0 -
TryingAgain, coffee shop wise, I have a monthly catch up with a friend in caf! ner0 and a monthly catch up in c0stalot with another friend. Other then that when I need to escape (and if its dry!) I make a travel mug of hot chocolate and go for a walk around the block, a bit of fresh air, 20 minutes of exercise and no extra cost.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
