Or even 2x £250 standing orders if you wanted to automate things...Gary1963 said:Debit payments include online and mail order purchases, as well as in-store purchases (including contactless, Apple Pay and Google Pay), Direct Debits, Standing Orders, and Faster Payments.
So I assume that means you can pay in £500 and then do a transfer back of two £250 which will use the faster payment method?
The wording is interesting as it states "The eligibility is checked 120 days after the account is opened" implying you could close your existing TSB account at any point before eligibility is assessed. There's nothing to exclude previous/existing customers, so I don't see why you couldn't close your existing accounts, and re-open one using this offer.WillPS said:The wording now suggests if you close your accounts you would once again be eligible for cashback...
The main issue will still be "If you open more than one TSB Spend & Save account via Quidco, you will only be paid cashback on the first account you open" so anyone who has previously taken advantage of any offers in the past are likely to be excluded.

You should be OK if you opened a Classic/Plus via Quidco though.PRAISETHESUN said:

Quidco have it plastered on home page. Expires in 5 days. So hopefully they won't mess this one up.0

Anyone with old ones going through customer service claims, seems another round of status updates confirming the £50 as payable0

Having a look over my credit reports, it appears I was hard searched for the Classic Plus I applied for in September (as expected), but not for the Spend & Save I opened in October. I don't expect the system regarded me as an existing customer at the point of application since it created me a separate log in for it (which merged a little while later), but who knows how TSB's systems work.
Both applications have made it to 'green' on 'Retailer decision' on Quidco, estimated payout April.
One more month 30 x £1 payments to NS&I then the Spend and Save is ready for a switching offer.
Might switch the Classic Plus over after Quidco payout, does anybody know if that invokes another hard search?0 -
Converting a Classic Plus to a Spend and Save doesn't involve any credit searches - you just need to complete the online form here: https://www.tsb.co.uk/help-and-support/general/change-your-account/WillPS said:Having a look over my credit reports, it appears I was hard searched for the Classic Plus I applied for in September (as expected), but not for the Spend & Save I opened in October. Looks you might have to first close existing current accounts.Ed-1 said:Spend and Save Plus account now available through Quidco. Anyone fancy another round?

But who would want to pay for a TSB current account?

No! £3 a month fee and takes 180 days for cashback to be paid if your lucky so £18 lost at the least plus your cashback if as they did with my last claim declined it.Ed-1 said:Spend and Save Plus account now available through Quidco. Anyone fancy another round?
