TSB Classic Plus for new members + Quidco Cashback = Free £95

From the Daily Mail article linked to above:
"Normally customers can open one Classic Plus account in their name plus another joint account, but the new terms state: 'If you open more than one TSB Classic Plus account via Quidco, you will only be paid cashback on the first account you open.'
This is Money has asked TSB whether the new terms apply only to accounts opened after they were clarified on 8 June, or also apply to accounts opened under the old rules.
It said any accounts open now will be judged on the new terms, but having reviewed all previous Quidco sales it had paid out cashback to an additional 300 customers.
A TSB spokesperson said: 'Following feedback from customers, we made changes to our T&C's to ensure they can make the most of our offer going forward. We have also reviewed previous applications and paid around 300 additional customers."
Though absolutely no mention of having reviewed all Quidco sales under the original (pre 8th June) T+Cs, TSB had paid out cashback for customers but then Quidco subsequently attempting to confiscate the customer's cashback money and keeping it all for themselves.

Think it might get worse before it gets better!
Beware of tsb trying it on and as classic accounts aren’t classic plus accounts saying they don’t qualify (any more).0 -

Maybe it's just me but I think they could have worded the answer a bit more clearly. I think it means, any account that is already open, even if it was opened under the old rules. If so, I think that's really unfair.
Now are Quidco trying to apply the classic plus term to the Classic account with no restriction on number of accounts opened!? Surely not!0 -

(An unfortunate coincidence that my MSE name and the Bank name is the same, totally unintentional) I have been having my own battle with TSB Bank regarding this offer, as I referred my case to the Ombudsman in March. The Ombudsman found in my favour and extra compensation awarded. TSB Bank have been promising to pay the original cashback into my Quidco account since July. I have received the compensation directly from TSB Bank but not the original cashback which they insist has been authorised for Quidco to pay and blame Quidco systems for not paying it. I am now having to chase this myself with Quidco. This is still ongoing.2 -

Anyone who complied with the T&Cs of the offer, as they were at the time of the transaction, has a reasonable case to argue, in a calm but persistent manner. I don't think it helps to use speculation over what Quidco would do with money that they may or may not have received from TSB. I also don't think it helps to go to the TSB CEO (unless, perhaps, TSB refuse to pay up) because our 'contract' is with Quidco, not with TSB.
Just stick to the line that you complied with the Quidco offer T&Cs, and that it would be rather detrimental for Quidco's reputation if their users could rely on the offer T&Cs. After all, the only reason Quidco exists are the users.2 -

Yes I agree with colsten, I am still waiting for a decision and dealing with the anxiety over it but haven’t yet contacted tsb. Hopefully I’ve fed the Quidco team enough info for them not to make a decision that results in further action needing to be taken. Quidco are awaiting a response from tsb, since Monday.0

@Colsten
Thank you for your views.
However, I for one prefer a more robust approach to the recent actions of Quidco and will have no hesitation in calling them out, to encourage them to do the right thing. They have accused many MSE members of "abuse" but I think that if anyone is "abusing" the terms of the TSB offer it is Quidco themselves.0
