I called TSB and they have informed that they declined the cash back as 1) I applied outside the dates of 4th December and 2nd January and 2) I didn’t complete a switch.

    Lost. For. Words

What will stop me earning cashback?
Cashback is only available when you open a new TSB Classic, Classic Plus or Student current account and you register for internet banking, paperless statements and paperless correspondence
Cashback is only available if for the first three months from account opening you pay in at least £500 each month and make two transactions per month
In order for TSB to know that you’ve taken out your product via Quidco and so that you receive your cashback, you must click the Quidco link above, and apply for and open the relevant current account
You won’t be eligible for cashback if you click away from the Quidco website page, or visit any other websites before completing your current account application and opening your account
You must make sure cookies are enabled before you start your application, and right through until we tell you whether your application is successful. Do not clear your cache before completing your application. Otherwise, TSB won’t be able to track the application and therefore unable to pay your cashback. For more information please see here
Cashback will only be paid to members who have BACS as their registered Quidco payment
All opened accounts are run through extensive validation checks and cashback will only be paid on valid opened accounts. The eligibility is checked 90 days after the account is opened
If you close your account within 90 days of opening you won’t get cashback either
    Cashback cannot be used with:
Any other offer available with TSB current accounts, unless listed on this page
Any other TSB discounts such as staff or student discounts
Any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page
    UK residents only
Please also see TSB’s current account terms and conditions which can be found on their website

No mention at all about switching. Or mentioned on the TSB it links too.

It would be too excruciatingly funny if the TSB off on Quidco had been meant to be a switch offer :D Tough titty though, it wasn't, and still isn't now.
  • Is tsb itself administering the Quidco offer or do they use an affiliate?

If themselves perhaps they don’t even know the terms of their own offers, the recommend a fool offer allows 28 days to open an account from referral and a further 28 days for the switch, 2 DDs to be set up £500 in etc. So two months bit like this Quidco decision day is 2 months after opening. Instead of 90 days that it’s supposed to be.
Quidco rep hasn’t been active on his thread since 14th January.

Seems tsb have put all their offers in a blender and come out with a..........

Is it possible for Quidco to obtain a reason for declined cashback? That would help.
  • Well it's the 21st Jan, the date that used to show for my expected payment.

Still showing as tracked, but my expected payment date is now showing as blank

Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

I did log a complaint, he said he was unable to uphold my complaint so he escalated it, he said he was certain the outcome of the complaint would be the same but would log it anyway.

My OH applied for this offer. He did not have a Current account at the time, but he did have a CC and therefore a log in. The log ins seemed to merge themselves together after a week.
The cashback has been declined today, exactly two months later. We have raised a claim and put £500 in the inital purchase box and it seemed to go through.

So far, it seems only one person has posted about successful Quidco cashback.
Perhaps other people might volunteer if they had a succesful outcome, and we can see if there is a pattern?

That’s bad service. They can’t say in advance what the outcome will be otherwise what the point of a complaint. Remember that they usually record phone calls so this could be in your favour if the reviewer listens to previous conversations when being given wrong advice. They might need prompting to do this.

That successful cashback was later declined I believe although they had already applied to withdraw the cash, outcome unknown.
