You can first open the account for the switch offer, then the account for the quidco.
  • Two months exactly since I opened a Classic current account tracked through Quidco and all t&c satisfied as far as I know.

Just checked my Quidco account and it says Declined on the two accounts I opened on that day.

I attempted to make a claim and that isn’t working as it keeps asking me to do what I’ve already done ticking their boxes, going round in circles!

Anyone else who used this offer had a decline or cash back now payable?

Same here and when I try to submit a declined cashback claim it says 'merchant requires valid details' and won't submit. I've contacted Quidco support.

Not just me then! I tried putting £55 in purchase amount box and got the same message as you. Then tried £0 as that was the actual purchase amount rather than the cash back amount and seemed OK except after ticking the declaration box and pressing send it then says I need to confirm I’ve read the declaration box by ticking it!

I have also emailed CS, will share here any useful info.

Seems tsb brand ‘quality’ extends into every area of their operation.

One possible area of confusion for tsb validation people could be the different log in details for different accounts and subsequent adding those accounts into existing log in for older accounts.

Trouble is the missing cash back claim can take four months to get a decision and its final so even if it’s they who have screwed up you remain declined With no further recourse.

Another possible scenario, it’s the weekend tsb haven’t done validation checks yet and the system auto declines an application? Was supposed to be after 90 days for validation in the t&c not two months to the date of opening which is the date given on my Quidco page.

A family member of mine who did this has had their cashback confirmed. They did not have their account merged with a previous profile and had not taken advantage of a previous offer (e.g. for switching) on that profile.

So the only reason I can think of for the declined cashback is the merging of the profile the account is opened on into an existing profile.

Mine have been declined also. Time to kick up a fuss.

Did your new account get merged into an existing profile?

Mine didn't track. I had the same problem when making a claim. When I put £0 in the purchase amount it would say I didn't check the box to confirm. But when I put £1 in it worked. Hope they don't make trouble for inaccurate information...

Yes , but I got the system to recognise my existing log in details when I applied , so it was an automatic thing.

Also going round and round in a perpetual circle with Quidco trying to raise a claim.
