    Hi

I have just got back from Xmas break to a 100 second letter - I am sorry to say these guys got me twice in the same place on picking up and dropping off my daughter the second time I was no more than 30 seconds and as I don’t remember receiving the first letter I am now 100 quids for 30 second no stopping violation - is there anything I can do or should I just ignore it - it does say I can appeal in writing but only for exceptional circumstances - will it make any difference if I haven’t made that first appeal ?

This is the email address of the landlord for no stopping parking charges at gateway Piccadilly Manchester - they said there was nothing we could do but maybe if everyone who has been given a ticket emails then they might help our plight

Sorry - thanks Keith - there’s so many threads on here it can get a bit confusing but I see it now I will just wait it out - I caved already and paid one I am not paying this one - wonder if anyone can see how many of there are of us with the same issue maybe we could petition the mayor of Manchester Andy Burnham as a group - would certainly save the court time and money if they changed the rules on this road

Yep, go for the 'big picture' stuff as well as trying to get your own ticket killed off.

I don't regard UKCPS as having the same fight in them (as some of the more obdurate and difficult PPCs) if faced with a concerted group challenge, backed by someone like Andy Burnham, plus local press/radio coverage.

    Kick up !!!!!!!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Have just received a generic rejection letter - has anyone appealed to the IAS?

Thank you for your appeal received on 03/01/2020 regarding the above detailed Parking Charge Notice (PCN). We have reviewed the case and considered the comments that you have made. This appeal has been considered in conjunction with the evidence gathered and our records show that the PCN was correctly issued as your vehicle was parked in breach of the Terms and Conditions of Parking.
You have stated that you are unwilling to name or unsure who was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the event.
Unless the full driver details are provided the charge will be pursued against yourself under the assumption you were the driver at the time
The location where the vehicle was parked is private land where no stopping, parking or waiting is permitted at anytime. By parking the vehicle the driver contractually agrees to pay a parking charge.
We are therefore unable to cancel the PCN as it was issued correctly. We have now extended the discounted payment period by 14 days to allow you time to pay the discounted settlement amount. Please now make payment of £100 to reach us by 02/02/2020.
