Will this now go to go to court?

Only UKCPS can possibly give you that answer. But what I'll say is that they are far less gung-ho in issuing court proceedings than in previous years, and with a potentially more rocky case to pursue, perhaps they won't risk it - especially as they will probably know that we are on top of this now.

But you won't really be sure until 6 years have passed.

  • we should share information on this. I will be making a complaint also.
  • Hi . Did you stop to drop off or pick up a passenger ? Did you come across my post earlier about the new sign mounted on around 23rd -27th December. if your penalty is from before these dates then I'm pretty sure you have a win .

A colleague of mine appealed to the IAS exact same circumstances as me , his appeal was successful and mine was rejected. It must go to courts is my opinion!

If any poster here is particularly internet savvy, especially on the Facebook Group front, why not follow BountyHunter's thread example for Newcastle Airport cases and fight back on a united front.

Here you go - someone read this and take control of it on a joint basis, then the shower of sh't can't possibly beat you!

It will be worth checking with the local council planning department to see if planning permission was granted for ANPR scameras if applicable, and more importantly if Advertising Consent exists for any and all signs. Not having the latter is a criminal offence and cannot be applied retrospectively.

If none of the above exist then formal complaints should be made to the council.

Everyone involved should also be complaining to their respective MPs as well as the MP where this scam site is located.

I'm writing to two MPs now. difficult to know what to say really. What can UKCPS/IAS do if I don't pay them tomorrow (deadline 2nd Jan)

I've not looked into planning permission or advance notice of the signage.

I'm getting them on the 3 points I made above... signage placement, font size and grace periods.
  • Don’t forget impossibility to form a contract.

You have allegedly broken any contract before being able to read any signs.

You have received an unfair parking charge notice from an unregulated parking company. Explain about the lack of signage and that this is an entrapment area where Tc and Cs are deemed to have been broken even before it is possible to read signs telling you this. You know that dozens of other people are being scammed as well for the same thing.

Our MPs in open parliament have called these companies scammers, cowboys and bloodsuckers, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood bank.

You want to know what your MP and our government are going to do about this since the new parking bill was introduced nearly a year ago but the scammers are still scamming.
As one of the people most affected by these scams, a member of the motoring public, you want to know how you can have your say during the consultation period so the same mistakes are not made that happened when clamping was outlawed but keeper liability was introduced.
You also want to know how it can possibly fair that a law exists that allows someone who was not in the car at the time of the alleged event to be liable for a parking charge and possibly end up in court as a result.
The keeper could be on holiday, in hospital, or on a gap year and know nothing about it until it is too late, but still be held liable.

Why is this still being allowed to happen?
