Coupon-mad is suggesting we keep all these cases on this one thread similar to the BountyHunter thread for Newcastle Airport, as group action might well emerge and follow.

Yes, this is all about one site, one issue and one specific thing, unusually. It will help if EVERYONE contacts the BBC reporter and local MP, all of you!

And there are no court claims yet so no dates & details to worry about keeping tabs on, so no need for us to be all over the shop answering the same Q again and again, as we usually have to field in other cases.

You can't appeal to POPLA, UKCPS are IPC operators and don't deal with POPLA. Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3 about the futility of appealing to the IPC community.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why do you think you need to pointlessly appeal, when you are on a group thread which tells you that there is no appeal and that is NOT what this thread is about?

This thread is about getting the journalist and MP to step in, and if you all get a court claim (yawn - UKCPS would be doomed!) you can all help each other to win.

Can we please not have any more questions filling up this group thread about debt letters and 'can I appeal...I want to appeal'. It's UKCPS; neither stage matters.

The only 'appeal' that wins is in front of your local Court Judge - all will be fine! You all need to support each other so is one person with a UKCPS stopping PCN prepared to set up a WhatApp group, maybe?

  • Hi there, we've recently received one of those 'parking charges' in the Piccadilly station. The 'offence' happened in early November; we've received first NTK, appealed, appeal rejected and now received another letter stating that the charge has gone up to £130.

After reading the forum, I'd be silly to pay them, however, the keeper is my other half and she's very anxious about the charge and wants to pay it.

My question is, what are the chances of this going to court and UKCPS winning it, therefore, creating a CCJ on the keeper's name? This is a very stressful situation as I'm very stubborn and she's very anxious. What advice have you got for us?

    Thanks all!

And start your own new thread please - one case per thread otherwise it all gets too confusing.
  • Another one here receiving a “ No Stopping” Parking Charge at Piccadilly for picking up an disabled friend. I will email my Local Mp to get support and I am willing to join a group to help fight against these charges but I would not know how to start a WhatApp group, it has taken me all night to do this.

For Piccadilly stopping PCNs we are encouraging all new cases to be listed here - similar to BountyHunter's Newcastle Airport thread.

All current advice is detailed in this thread, all cases are the same. It will save us a lot of typing and save TD some copying and pasting!

  • I have been told that the MP for this areal (LP) has been contacted on several occasions about this scam. She has written to the Chief Exec of Manchester City Council about it.

I work for the BBC. I ill talk to a few people, see if anyone is interested in the story.
Worth writing to the MEN also.

FYI I went through the Kangaroo Court... and was rejected. I haven't paid it though. Hoping it will go to court now.
